ITALIAN EASTER SWEETS 🥰

Among the traditional Easter sweets is the COLOMBA (dove), which has a symbolic and unmistakable power. For its form, of course, a symbol of peace, love and salvation. Long before Easter, all supermarkets from north to south are flooded with these goodies. There is a big difference in quality. You can buy the industrially produced ones in every store, but the taste cannot be compared to those from small private productions.

The origin of this delicacy is very ancient, although the name Easter dove correctly refers to a commercial idea from the 1930s, when the confectionery company Motta, known for its panettone (which is sold at Christmas), had the intuition to create an Easter dessert based on the Christmas possible to use the same machines, but also the same ingredients, and not only during Christmas.

In addition to the Easter doves, large, chocolate Easter eggs with a surprise are bought for children and adults, which the children exchange with each other. The egg is a symbol of life that renews itself and is a blessing of fertility.
Happy Easter!

Did you know who invented the bottle of Campari Soda?

1932, Fortunato Depero, representative of Italian futurism, designs the iconic bottle of Campari Soda, the first disposable aperitif, something absolutely innovative, just as innovative, futuristic, was the bottle designed by Depero: in the shape of a truncated cone, in glass frosted, without a paper label, typical of all spirits, but with the writing stamped in relief.
All this made Campari Soda a product which, breaking conventions, can be considered revolutionary, from all points of view, perfectly in line with the futurist movement.

The bottle of Campari Soda is further testimony to the creative richness that developed in that period of our history which ran from 1922 to 1944.
