1/2 2024 was without a single doubt one of the most challenging years I can remember. By the end of 2023, I decided to take on less gigs so I can travel less, rest more and spend more quality time with the people I love. While I succeeded in the first part, cutting the number of gigs in half compared to 2023, but I didn’t really get the outcome I was hoping for. I was constantly on the go and also let my work-life balance get somewhat out of hand. I was sick multiple times in a row over the first 4 months of the year, seemingly unable to shake the bug off for good. There was rarely a time for me to unwind or take the time to appreciate the good things happening to me. What makes it even worse is the fact the I wasn’t really satisfied with the outcomes of my work most of the time. I was constantly dragged along by the huge pile of unfinished stuff waiting for me every single morning I woke up and not letting me rest when I was turning off my computer after 12-14 hours I spent behind it, trying to catch up. Long story short, I wasn’t in a good place mentally and as much as I tried to keep it in, it started to show on me as well as on the stuff I was doing and it also affected my relationship(s) with others. It wasn’t until October when I finally began to slowly mend. And to be honest, I didn’t really fully recover until the recent festive period.
Despite all that, there have been countless times I felt extremely happy or proud of what I managed to achieve. I played quite a few memorable gigs like the 360 one in Sklub with Kanine, Roxy with Netsky, Krenovka with DLR, Cluj-Napoca in Romania for the very first time with Mefjus, EXIT On The Street in Brno, Fabric Ostrava twice as well as Soldout and Let It Roll festivals. We managed to kickstart DNBe HearD. once more, started to post regularly again, brought in more people, started new things, threw our first DNBe HearD. pop up with Snapbacks.cz in December and our first big time event is taking place in Olomouc in January.
