32 survivors from the first catastrophe of 2024.
Last night, in freezing conditions and a gale force 9 , a boat load of people were pushed out from the coast of Turkey, heading for Lesvos.
Once again we greive, we greive for those that are lost and for those that have to find a way to survive without them.
But overwhelmingly, we feel anger.
Anger at the traficers who put profit above life.
Anger at a system of pushbacks that cause people to take unnecessary risks.
Anger at a system that offers no other way to safety except to risk your life on a small boat in a horrific stom.
Anger that some lives do not matter.
In the end, anger is what is left.
Anger because someone has to be responsible for the constant deaths at our borders.
The loss of lives, the loss of hope, the loss of safety.
For those crossing, it is often better to gamble your life in a small boat than to face certain death if you stay where you are!
Where is the justice? where are equal rights for all?
Some lives are just more valuable than others.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our Erasmus + Sport project, TALENT (Cloud-based education for creative sport talents). This innovative project aims to create a holistic approach to integrating kids within school and sport environments, preparing them for a successful dual-career path.

👉A consortium of seven organizations from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Serbia, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta have joined forces to develop a comprehensive methodology. This will increase awareness around the identification, support, and prevention of talented children dropping out.

🎯Our mission is to empower teachers, parents, and coaches to embrace a new pattern of behavior that fosters success in both academic and athletic pursuits. Together, we're shaping the future of creative sport talents and building a stronger, more connected community. 💫🏆

3rd Dose of COVID19 Vaccinations for Persons Not in the GESY are available on FRIDAYS from 8am to 2pm at the following Walk-In locations in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca:
Nicosia—State Fair/EXPO
Limassol—Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Centre
Larnaca—Port D.
In Paphos and Ammochostos, people outside of the GESY will be able to get vaccinated at the Walk-In Centers already operating at the General Hospitals every day from 8am to 2pm.
Paphos—General Hospital
Ammochostos—General Hospital (Paralimni).
Don’t forget to bring your vaccination certificate and documentation!
