Honoring the Past Through Film – ASIL Lysis FC Home Jersey 24|25 Video
I’m excited to share my latest work – a heartfelt video for ASIL Lysis FC, celebrating 50 years since the Turkish invasion. This project was incredibly special, as it allowed me to tell a story deeply tied to the heart of Cyprus and its people.
In the video, an elderly woman, symbolizing Cyprus, speaks about losing one of her daughters, Lysi, during the invasion. As she sews a football jersey for ASIL Lysis FC, she honors the memory of the lost village, ensuring that the legacy lives on through the team and its supporters.
📍 Filming took place at the ASIL Lysis home ground in Dali, and in Xylotymbou, at a beautiful location built to honor the lost house of the Andreou family in Lysi. The setting was rich with history, which gave the production an authentic, emotional depth.
🎥 As a videographer, I was honored to bring this symbolic story to life, capturing the essence of memory, loss, and resilience. Every frame was crafted to reflect the powerful connection between the past and the present, using detailed close-ups, intimate settings, and natural lighting to convey the deep emotions behind this journey.
Watch the video, and feel free to share your thoughts!
