Day 3 of the 52nd FESTIVAL DI TUMBA : Remembering Peter van der Pligt's Iconic 'Kumpli Kuné' from 1992. As the first Dutch performer at the Festival di Tumba, he left a profound mark with this hit. Although missing the finale, it soared in popularity, leading to notable collaborations and being voted 'Tumba Mas Popular' in 1993. Van der Pligt's influence was so enduring that he returned in 2020 for a nostalgic performance of his timeless classic."🎶🎺❤️

🎶 Tonight marks the grand opening of the 52nd Tumba Festival! 🌟 A little throwback to where it all began - the first ever Festival di Tumba was hosted at the Roxy Theater in Pietermaai in 1971. It's where Anselmus “Boy” Dap, revered as the “Father of Tumba,” won his very first title with his Tumba " Bash'é" . Let's celebrate this rich history as we enjoy the vibrant rhythms of Tumba tonight!
