Matej Rusmir

Matej Rusmir was born in Belgrade Serbia in 2000. Currently studying sound recording and sound design. His sets are rich in transcendental lush club sounds.

He is one of the youngest producers and DJs in Belgrade, currently on route of great expansion of his club consciousness. His tendency towards darker and more minimal sound at his beginnings led to the most recent interests to introduce trance and jungle elements into his productions. With a lot of analogue gear sampling, percussions and some guitar as well, his music and DJ sets will abound in h

ypnotic techno vibe that will both perplex and threaten the spectator. In 2018 Rusmir started Drugstore event series called Insolence with Andria, as youngest representatives of the local club scene. Since 2021 Rusmir is a part of Yes Belgrade label with few releases and Yes events in Drugstore.

The online radio festival Trans Balkan Express by movement_athens is an investigation into the rich and complex musical tapestry of the Balkan Peninsula. Movement Radio explores different musical eras and genres from Athens, Tirana, Ioannina, Podgorica and Pristina to Skopje, Belgrade, Zagreb and Thessaloniki.

After few years of silence on my SoundCloud I’ve finally released some of my music officialy. I’m so happy and proud to be part of this crazy compilation full of bangers on label. Sestra is track I made almost exactly 3 years ago and it’s probably the project I’ve worked on the most, for about 6 months.
