We are excited to bring Tikaf to Blaxit Radio! Tikaf will host Reggae Vibrations beginning Saturday, October 12th, from 10:00 pm to midnight Monday through Saturday. Tikaf is an international Dancehall - Reggae artist in Limon, Costa Rica.
Tikaf, Dancehall-Reggae artist, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With national and international performances, sharing the stage with artists such as Serani, Ward 21, and Cutty Ranks, among others. He has six albums, collaborations, and studio recordings with Sizzla Kalonji, Fidel Nadal, and Jahricio, and together with renowned producers such as Manudigital and DJ Vadim, make Tikaf a benchmark when talking about Latin Dancehall. Inspired by Jamaican artists, Tikaf developed an interest in music, thus seeing a form of expression that would lead him to write his first songs. In 2006, he first presented at hip-hop events in the capital. Since then, he has dedicated his entire time to his passion, Dancehall, and participated in festivals and events at the national level in Misiones, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, Mar del Plata, and in different countries such as Chile, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, and Mexico. In 2016, he traveled for the first time to Europe, sharing a tour of France and Spain with MC Jamal-Ski (pioneer of Raggamuffin in New York) and was invited to participate in the Rototom Sunsplash Festival in Benicasim, opening shows for the Brazilian artist Dada Yute on the Roots Yard & Rototom Beach stages. His live participation in the Number One Program dedicated to Reggae on French Radio and Television, "Party Time," recorded live in Toulouse, France, with the French DJ Madzikila & Puppa Alex, stands out. He made three tours in Mexico, two in Sound System format and one with his current band, "R7 Band", with 21 presentations throughout the country. In Colombia, he participates in important festivals such as "The Roots Fest" in Medellín and "Rototom Colombia" in the Media Torta; he is also invited to close the event for the "Month of Reggae" in the National Park of Bogotá on the mobile stage. Currently, Tikaf is in Costa Rica, where he meets the local producer "Costa Rebel," they release together the song "Insane," which was chosen by top dancers in Jamaica and is widely accepted in Japan. Later, he moved to Limón, an essential city in the Caribbean, nurturing and perfecting himself in the style, where he continued recording, releasing new singles, and producing in "Positive Studio" in conjunction with his Argentine producer "Sistema Estudio" and different producers who require Tikaf's voice. During 2020, he released different Singles such as "Bruck Out & Wine" and "Dime," produced by "Sistema Estudio," and "Prende" with a Video Clip made by "Master Kush" and "Baddest Deejay" by Costa Rebel, among others.
