City Life | The 2024 Marathon kicked off on the morning of December 8th, departing from Tianhe Sports Center and concluding at Haixinsha Island. The route passed through Tianhe District, Zhuhai District, Liwan District, and Yuexiu District, running along both banks of the Pearl River. Participants passed various Lingnan-style buildings such as the Customs Museum, Nanfang Building, and the Memorial of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion. With sunlight filtering through the trees, the vibrant runners complemented the historic streetscapes, creating a beautiful painting of Guangzhou.

In early November, Province dispatched ophthalmic and urologic surgical expert teams to Fiji and Nauru, respectively, to perform cataract , and to the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to carry out minimally invasive urologic surgeries.
It is reported that during their stay on the , the expert team trained nearly 100 healthcare workers, and conducted 17 complex surgeries and demonstrations in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Among them, the oldest patient was 82 years old and had been using a urinary catheter for three years. After the surgery, he was completely free of the catheter. This incident caused a great deal of buzz locally.

A month ago, officially released its first national standard for organs-on-chips, "General Technical Requirements for Skin Chips." Domestically, companies laying out organs-on-chips industry chains are mostly located in the -Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta. 's domestically developed jet C919 is rapidly expanding its commercial network, with three new routes announced this week alone. As of now, the C919 connects 10 cities across the country.
Since adding the C919 to its fleet, China Southern Airlines has launched routes connecting to , , and as part of the "China Southern Air Shuttle" services. With the addition of the Guangzhou-Haikou route, the airline will have four regularly scheduled C919-operated routes. Haikou will become the fifth destination for the aircraft, joining Guangzhou, Shanghai Hongqiao, Hangzhou, and Chengdu Tianfu. China Southern plans to expand C919 operations to more destinations as additional aircraft are delivered.

Since the expansion of China's visa-free policy, Shenzhen's Futian Checkpoint has become a prominent gateway, offering efficient and convenient customs services, thus strengthening its role in international trade and cultural exchange. On December 4th, a tourist from the Republicof , Lee Sangbin, entered through the visa-free program at Futian Checkpoint and praised the officers of Huanggang Exit and Entry Inspection Station. In August, nine selected directors set off to various locations in to begin filming, creating their own images of small towns.
From December 19th to 23rd, the Maritime Program will bring nine short films to Paris for their first public screening.

China has become increasingly open, as seen in policies like unilateral visa exemptions, which have attracted many foreign visitors. These visitors, in turn, share short videos of China on social media, helping the West gain a more authentic understanding of the country. During the 27th China-ASEAN Summit, China also discussed the possibility of unilateral openness to ASEAN countries, which, if realized, would have significant implications for creating a common market. Zheng highlighted that openness and confidence are mutually reinforcing, creating a positive cycle.
