Hi, fellow Sci-fi fans, great news!

The 2nd APSFcon, the biggest Science Fiction convention in Asia and Pacific region, is going to be held in Beijing at May 25th to 26th, 2019.

There will be over 150 well-known Sci-fi writers from China, United States, UK, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia and more, including such multiple awards winners as Liu Cixin, Han Song, Michael Swanwick, Kelly Robson, Lawrence M. Schoen and so on.

There are multiple events including awards ceremony, speeches, panels, fair, fandom gathering, and costuming masquerade.

We, Future Affairs Administration (FAA) which is organizing APSFcon, are giving out SEVERAL APSFcon special packages to overseas individuals which include:

One set of premium ticket of APSFcon
Travel fund(1.5k USD or equivalent)
Access to activities that are invited-only amid those globally renowned Sci-fi writers.

The application is open to all Sci-fi fans who submit a plan of ANY form of cool program you are going to produce about APSFcon, and FAA will select SEVERAL best plans among these to win the special packages.

The applicants also should meet the criteria as follows:

You have no China citizenship and no record of crime or other factors that may jeopardize your entering China;

You have profound experience in at least one field of interviewing/blogging/podcasting/video-producing/social media in all scopes related to Sci-fi;

You will participate full-time in the 2-day sessions of APSFcon.


All the applicants just simply send your brief self-introduction Sci-fi related and the said plan to [email protected], and the DEADLINE is April 19(whatever time zone on planet Earth).

科幻界最高双奖 #美国星云奖 # 公布了入围名单，劳伦斯·M·舍恩创作的《三限律》获得最佳中短篇小说提名！

劳伦斯·M·舍恩（Lawrence M. Schoen）是去年我局丹寨工作坊的邀请作家，这篇《三限律》（The Rule of Three）讲述了在丹寨和贵州发生的科幻故事。蜡染、啤酒、星际旅行、人类灭绝计划，这些看似风马牛不相及的东西，被奇思妙想串联在了一起。

舍恩说，“在丹寨的经历和科幻作家之间不可思议的对话也将永远留在我的记忆中。”

这篇《三限律》已经被翻译成中文，很快就能在不存在新闻 上看到！
