Günter Baby Sommer has been with Intakt Records since its founding.
This catalog, which we published on the occasion of Günter Baby Sommer’s 80th birthday, presents 18 of his productions. They show the path of a musician who uses his drums and timpani, his gongs and tubular bells in a variety of ways and with great individuality: an artist of the speaking drum, a sound poet who knows how to use not only the vibrating and pulsating aspects of his instruments, but also their coloristic qualities.
