🌳 Linner Linde - Embracing Centuries of History. Estimated to be around 800 years old lime tree.

Behold the majestic Linner Linde, an ancient lime tree that stands as a symbol of enduring strength and history in Switzerland. This remarkable tree has witnessed generations passing by and carries the whispers of time within its gnarled branches.

Located in a serene corner of Switzerland, this venerable tree has become a living landmark, cherished by locals and admired by visitors from around the world. Legend has it that the lime tree was donated in memory of the plague by one of the last remaining villagers. The plague ravaged the village of Linn particularly fiercely in the 16th/17th century.
However, the actual age of the lime tree is much older, estimated to be around 800 years old.
