Manal Helal: Art could reshape the soul and the heart of the society

Manal Helal, PHD. is an Egyptian contemporary artist. As well, she's member of the Egyptian House of Representatives, Foreign Relations Committee.
she began her journey with art since childhood, where I had started to paint my family members, especially my late beloved father. Manal said.

Because of her affection to different fields of arts, she decided to study art academically. she took this path and currently, she's a professor of sculpture design at the Faculty of Applied Arts. Helwan University. Egypt.

Manal, has been involved in the Fine Art Movement in Egypt since she was an undergraduate student. she has participated in local and international exhibitions.

She's practicing art in different fields such as painting, sculpture, ceramic, digital sculpture and product design; In addition, Manal is working with different materials such as aluminum, copper, clay and PVC.

We asked Dr. Manal Helal about her artistic journey, she said: "My journey started with classic art, and then I mastered abstracted art. Along the way I have been inspired by many artists but the most were Henry Moor, Barbara Brancusi".

I believe art could reshape the soul and the heart of the society, and artist's function is glorifying life. In addition, with art, we can differentiate between the beautiful and ugly and sometimes art can aid us to find beauty in what others may perceive ugly. I am convinced that art and visual culture are two significant factors, which helped in establishing many of the great civilizations.

Nasser Social Bank supporting divorced, widowed and abandoned women

An initiative from Nasser Social Bank, to support divorced, widows, and abandoned women, as the Bank decided to provide assistance to them to alleviate the suffering from their shoulders and to hold back their tears that flow from the harshness of their lives.

In order to obtain this cash assistance, the woman must have basic needs that she is unable to meet, her monthly income is weak, or she does not have a monthly income at all.

Venezuelan President opened the Egyptian pavilion at Venezuelan International Book Fair

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, inaugurated the Egyptian pavilion at the Venezuelan International Book Fair, accompanied by the Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Culture, where the President reviewed a number of Egyptian books translated into Spanish, and the Egyptian Ambassador Karim Amin presented him with a comprehensive presentation of a number of copies and ancient Egypt's paints.
The Venezuelan president thanked Egypt as president, government and people for the good reception he received during his recent visit to Egypt to attend the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP27), extending his congratulations to Egypt for the good organization of this great global event, praising the Egyptian civilization and the Egyptian tourism capabilities.

At the end of his tour, the Egyptian embassy presented him with a book in Spanish about the most important Egyptian tourist attractions, as the Egyptian pavilion witnessed a strong turnout from the audience of the exhibition.

UNCTAD awards Brazil, Egypt and Lesotho agencies for promoting sustainable investment in agriculture

UNCTAD has awarded investment promotion agencies (IPAs) from Brazil, Egypt and Lesotho for excellence in promoting sustainable investment in agriculture, contributing to food security and development.

UNCTAD’s director of investment and enterprise, James Zhan, presented the awards during the 13th session of the Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission on 14 November in Geneva.

The Egyptian awarded project is Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones received the award for facilitating the Canal Sugar Company, a joint venture between investors in the sugar industry from the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

The project is in line with Egypt’s 2030 sustainable development vision to achieve food security while adapting to climate change using smart agriculture systems.

The project expected to create 50,000 jobs aims to make Egypt self-sufficient in sugar production. It includes a training academy for local farmers to help them increase their yields and minimize the use of water and fertilizers.

Annalena Baerbock, the German Foreign Minister, arrived today in Sharm El-Sheikh, where she will stay until November 19 to attend the climate conference .

According to the German Embassy in Cairo, the minister will participate in many international dialogue sessions to combat climate change and replace non-environmentally friendly energy sources with more sustainable alternatives.

Egypt to exempt FIFA World Cup 2022 fans from tourist visa

The Egyptian Cabinet has approved facilities on any entry tourist visas to Egypt for any person with the Hayya card designated for World Cup fans in Qatar.

Fans will be exempt from all tourist visa fees during this period.

It is a chance to benefit from the promotion of Egyptian tourism during the World Cup period.

All hotels in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh will offer a discounted rate on accommodation prices online for World Cup fans with the Hayya Card.
