The continual development of technology and the rapid advancements in communications has meant significant changes to the working lives of men and women in the industry. Graphical and packaging affiliates throughout the world have adapted to these changes and are continuing to meet the challenges on behalf of our members. 🔴➡️Elanders Workers Fight for Their Rights in New Jersey ✊✊


Workers at Bergen Logistics, an subsidiary in North Bergen, NJ, are organizing to secure union representation with Workers United SEIU. Despite Elanders’ 2009 commitment to respect workers’ rights through a Global Framework Agreement, Bergen Logistics has ignored a card check request and hired anti-union consultants to undermine the organizing effort.

The workers now face a state-supervised election on January 6, with mounting interference from management. UNI Global Union has called on Elanders to honor its agreement, stop union-busting activities, and ensure workers are informed about their rights.
