Amateur radio is not about technology.
It’s about solitude…
silence…
then a voice.

📡 It’s the moment someone, somewhere in the world, answers back.
No network. No internet.
Just a human connection.

Amateur radio is not about being louder.
It’s about feeling less alone.

Very good Sunday 😎

A few aluminum parts, two contacts, a bit of precision…
On paper, it looks simple.
But behind every Morse key, there are hours of design, machining, fine adjustments, and passion to achieve the perfect touch.

Because in CW, everything is in the details:
the feel, the balance, the smoothness under your fingers.
That’s where the magic of Morse code truly lives.

📡 A beautiful object, yes.
But above all, a tool that transmits much more than signals a passion.

A rare DX station.
A massive pile-up.
And that one guy calling right on the DX frequency… without listening 🤦‍♂️

What happens next?
“UP!” — “SPLIT!” — “LISTEN!!”…
and of course someone finally shouts “SHUT UP!” 😂

📡 If you’re a ham, you’ve seen this before.
Every. Single. Time.

I’ve just seen comments/messages related to the World Wide Award filled with
➡️ insults, accusations, violent language, and personal attacks.

❓ Why so much hatred in a hobby that is supposed to bring people together?
Ham radio is about sharing, passion, and respect — regardless of country, mode, or experience.

👉 You don’t have to like an award.
👉 You don’t have to participate.
👉 You can criticize — constructively.

But this?
🚫 insults
🚫 threats
🚫 hate speech
🚫 national or personal attacks

This is not ham radio spirit.

I’m simply asking the question:
What justifies this level of verbal aggression?

📻 Stay radio amateurs.
🤝 Stay respectful.
🌍 The airwaves have no borders.

💨 Wind blowing straight into the antenna…
🌪️ Mast under pressure, guy wires singing,
🐄 and even the cows are not amused 😅

One question remains:
👉 Will it hold?

📡 Ham radio life.
When the weather stress-tests your setup… and your nerves 😎

It’s not just a radio.
It’s not about power, antennas, or frequencies.

📡 Amateur radio is human connection in its purest form.

It’s the ability to talk to someone on the other side of the world without the internet, without mobile networks — only through radio waves and passion.
It’s learning technology, understanding how communication really works, and respecting an ethic that has existed for generations.

It’s the emotion of a first long-distance contact, the silence before the reply… and then a voice appears, sometimes thousands of kilometers away.
A real moment, shared between two strangers connected by the same passion.

🌍 Amateur radio goes beyond borders, cultures, and languages.
It brings people together. It teaches. It connects humanity.

And for many of us, it’s not just a hobby.
It’s a lifelong passion.

🇱🇮 Memories from an unforgettable activation…
Back in 2020, I had the opportunity to spend one full week activating Liechtenstein, operating under the callsign HB0/HB9HBY.
An intense and rewarding adventure filled with radio passion, technical challenges, and stunning landscapes — connecting with stations all around the world.

From demanding setups to ever-changing conditions, this activation remains one of the most memorable experiences of my ham radio journey.

🎙️ What if it happened again?
This summer, the idea of bringing it back is on the table.
Same spirit, same passion — with even more experience.

📡 Stay tuned… the story might not be over yet.

You think you’ve seen everything in ham radio?
Don’t blink.

A 13-meter tower.
A full-size 40m Yagi beam on top.
Guy wires stretched to their limits.

The sky turns dark.
The wind starts howling.
The structure begins to groan.

Each gust bends steel.
Cables scream under tension.
Metal starts to crack.

And then…
⚡ the point of no return ⚡

The tower twists.
The beam gives way.
The entire mast collapses with a violent crash.

Dust explodes.
Debris flies.
Silence after the storm.

If you’re a ham, you already feel it in your gut.
That moment we all fear…
And never forget when it happens.

👉 Watch till the end.
👉 Turn the sound up.
👉 Feel the tension.

Based on a TRUE story… 😅📡

If you’ve been in ham radio long enough, you already know how this ends…
You’re tuning the band.
Chasing that rare DX.
The signal is fading…

And then you hear it from the other room:
“DINNER’S READY!” 🍽️

But you’re mid-QSO with Antarctica thinking:
“Just 10 more seconds… don’t fade now!” 🤞

Dinner gets cold.
Coffee gets cold. ☕
Your excuses get old…

And suddenly… 📬
The divorce papers arrive — right when the DX comes back S9+20! 😂

Only a ham would understand this emotional conflict.
That’s ham radio.
That’s the fun.
That’s the madness.

And that’s why we LOVE it! ❤️📡
