Introducing Michael Liptrap, our newest addition to the Wicked Games family! Transitioning from high school aspirations of game development to a successful path in IT. His professional odyssey has taken him across multiple U.S. states.

With each move, he embraced new challenges with the same enthusiasm that characterizes his approach to life, and excelled in various roles. Michael's unique approach to learning is marked by his deep commitment and sharp mind; he doesn't merely scratch the surface but delves deep into each skill, becoming a seasoned expert. He enjoys reading source code in particular, and has studied hundreds of projects over the last 20 years.

But beyond the realm of work, Michael is a person of many passions. He loves cooking, music, and never misses his daily gaming session. He has a diverse gaming pallette but enjoys RPG's in particular. Some of his many favorites being "Skies of Arcadia," "The Witcher 3" and "Anything made by Bioware, Black Isle and Obsidian".

Yet, amid all these achievements, Michael's deepest connection remains with family, as they provide the anchor in his journey. It's this combination of honesty, tenacity, and a multiskilled nature that makes Michael a truly exceptional addition to any team and we’re happy to finally bring him home with us, to the gaming world, where he belongs.

Meet Lucas Aielo, our vibrant Junior Environment Artist straight from the colorful land of Brazil. Though he holds the "Junior" title, Lucas showcases skills that mirror those of a seasoned expert.

A passionate gamer himself, we learnt that he's head over heels for titles like 'Genshin Impact', 'Shadow of the Colossus', and 'Hollow Knight'. While hanging around in the environment art lab, we couldn't help but notice his radiant energy. He lights up the room with his laughter, and never hesitates to provide honest feedback and innovative ideas. And guess what? Our eyes "accidentally" fell on his secret recipe for those mesmerizing 3D environment assets he creates. The blend? Two generous scoops of wisdom from his game design technology master's, a touch of his talent, precision, and dedication, and a sprinkle of inspiration from Joel's detailed concepts.

This young man’s artist spirit knows how to balance work and play. He flexes and stretches with calisthenics, a perfect counterbalance to the hours he spends at his PC. He finds serenity in diving into deep reads with his dog by his side and his bird singing smooth melodies in the background.

Welcome Lucas! We genuinely appreciate the energy you bring to our team and the flair you will add to our game world.

A new day brings a new member to Wicked Games! Meet Dimitris Kartakis, the guy known as the rock whisperer! He has cracked the code to those perfect textures that even Karsten can't resist. When it comes to stylizing landscapes, Dimitris knows exactly what it needs!

Before you get to know Dimitris, the Environment artist, we'd like to take you first on a time travel trip to meet young Dimitris. As a child, he loved drawing, discovering the newest technologies, enjoying KFC’s delicious meals and - obviously - playing video games!

His love for drawing continued as he grew up, leading him to the charms of Manchester University, which further kindled his passion. However, after completing his studies, he discovered a newfound joy in bringing his drawings to life through 3D modeling. Determined to master this craft, he embarked on a self-taught journey and later finished a 3D environment art course on Think-Tank Online, deepening his knowledge with insights from professionals in the domain. This dedication opened the doors of numerous opportunities, allowing him to truly forge his career in this exciting field.

Following a remarkable work experience in Budapest, our guy finally settled in his beautiful homeland and he loves working from home, enriching the friendly vibes within the company with his unique sense of humor, and cherishing the company of his dog. He often rides his electric bike with Xena trotting happily alongside. When he's in the mood for video games, his choice would be Chivalry, Tears of the Kingdom, or Pokémon, because of nostalgia! We're happy to have you hanging around and wish all your days to be filled with perfect rocks with us.

Bonjour a toutes et a tous! Today you're going to meet Meryem, a member of the marketing team. Meryem was completely submerged in the pharmaceutical field until the game dev industry was presented to her by her husband, whom you know as “the soul of the party” here at Wicked Games.

She got so fascinated by the industry that she quit her previous job as a regulatory affairs pharmacist to dedicate herself to study this field. Soon enough she was confused and didn't know where to start, that was until her eye fell on our project and it was love at first sight. She volunteered to work on the project, and her first mission was to write some quests along with Miss Bosch, not only did it help her reconnect with her lost childhood passion for writing but the two ladies instantly connected and they formed THE dream team, making Meryem go from a volunteer to an intern, to an essential member of the company in no time.

Meryem prefers mobile phone games, and while her favorite is Cube Escape, she’s currently addicted to Walk Master. Her current hobbies are creating educational biology content where she has quite an audience on YouTube, crocheting, and playtesting the game to find new bugs for the devs to solve. We want to celebrate Meryem's journey, and extend the appreciation to all talented women who enrich our world.

Jose Soto! The youngest member of the development team, now dethroning Captain Gareth as the youngest of the group. At a very young age, Jose received an Arduino as a gift from his father, starting his journey with programming. So to all parents out there, here's a tip from Jose's papá on how to make use of your children's love of video games; simply make them a learning tool.

Jose doesn't only create video games; he also enjoys playing them. When we asked about his favourite game, he said it was Dishonored. But when we asked about the game he plays the most, he had to go and check for the exact amount of time he spent playing each game to give a precise answer; that answer is Rainbow 6 Siege. What can we say? He's just all about accuracy and precision!

Jose is very proud of passing the extremely selective high school system in his country, Costa Rica, with honors and pursuing his studies in mechanical electronics just as he desired. However, the pandemic gave him a chance to reconsider. After spending long hours developing his own indie games, he changed his heart and decided to return to his childhood's first love.

Although he's still a student, Mr Karsten, our talent hunter, couldn't just pass by this young man's potential and brilliance and decided to make him part of the Wicked Games team. Jose doesn't consider himself more intelligent than people his age; he attributes his achievements to hard work and dedication to what he does.

During the short time he spent with the dev team, Jose is enjoying the project and the company of his fellow Wicked Gamers. He also highlights that his Senior developers jump to the rescue whenever they sense he's struggling with something, and he truly appreciates that.

With us, this young man is living his dream by unleashing his potential and indulging himself in the process of creating a fun and purposeful game for people to enjoy. So be proud of yourself, Mr Jose and on behalf of all team members, we tell you, "Herzlich willkommen!"

As our talent-hunting journey continues and our team expands today is the day to meet the Whizz audio director Chris D'Eletto who perfectly translates our words, hummms, sighs, and laughs into musical notes.
Chris's father gifted him a guitar, and he watched how his son's eyes opened to this magical world as he played his first G3 chord. Since that moment, his passion for music made him pursue his dream as a composer, writing his own songs and creating his own melodies.
Chris isn't all about music; he enjoys playing video games and is already counting the days before the release of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! Next in line to be one of his favorite games. He also appreciates quality time with friends and watching a bunch of horror movies.

Talking about movies, do you know "The Evil Dead"? Well then, you can hear our very own audio director singing his heart out in Evil Dead: The Game! He helped create a couple a rock songs specifically for the video game. If you want to know what it meant to him, just close your eyes and imagine working on a project with your favorite actor. YEAH, EXACTLY THAT!

One thing worth mentioning is that we had a great time interviewing Chris; he was all over the place and kept talking about the project and how it's well rounded, he also mentioned that Wicked Games is his first international work experience, and he's already savoring the charm of the cultural exchange and all the fascinating things that bring us together as humans.

Oh! Chris's music always brightens our days, even during long hours of hard work, and we're not planning on holding it back from you; soon enough, you will all be able to enjoy its beauty!

Ladies and gentlemen, we present Sadaoui Abderrahim, aka SAFAD, our Unreal Network Developer and "the soul of the party" at Wicked Games. Do you wanna know more about this charismatic African man?

He spent three years jumping between degrees at university, only to realize none of them was his cup of Coffee.
It then became obvious that he would find more joy in pursuing a career as a self-taught game developer, something Safad already knew after his first attempt of developing a game in Flash at the age of 11.

Safad seizes every occasion to talk openly about how proud he is of mastering the heart game by finding his soulmate. However, he always finds a way to avoid answering any questions about his favorite games because to him, every game has its own charm. But thanks to our exceptional interrogation skills, we could make him confess that his favorite game is Half-Life and that the game he plays the most is DOTA 2.

Safad enjoys spending time with his team, they can discuss anything and everything. After getting to know him better, they believe that he might have been the human reincarnation of a cat - stubborn and persistent as he is, the challenges that he encounters will never hold him back and he's willing to invest himself fully in the project. Even his creative crazy ideas wake him up in the middle of the night, but of course they disappear after he goes back to sleep. What a shame!

Safad's ultimate dream is to own a farm to raise as many kittens as he possibly can, which suggests that we were right about the reincarnation theory. Ansuf Safad! We welcome you with your North African mother tongue; we believe that we will produce something big together!

Say “howdy” to Gareth Aguilar our new Junior Dev. He is the youngest team member, he was determined to compensate for his inexperience with proactivity and hard work. With that he has proven himself to be a valuable member of the team in no time.

His father showed him Grand Turismo III on the PS2 when he was only 3 years old. Even though he joined the League of Legends train at an early age, and he is happy to have achieved Platinum III when it still meant you were good at the game. The game he spent the most time playing is Overwatch, and his favorite games are Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Monster Hunter World.

He was nervous initially, but he found our team so friendly and welcoming that after a couple days, he felt like he had been working with us for a long time. One of the things that fascinated him the most was seeing how many people with different backgrounds from all around the world can gather and work as one. He likes the style and the direction of the project, and he can’t wait to make everything work from the Dev Basement.

Awesome should be his first name, Joel Magnan our new generalist artist is ready to leave everyone speechless with his designs and new ideas.

Seeing his brother play Starcraft and Warcraft III when he was little, made him really curious about video games. Since then he is eager to try all kind of games and see what they have to offer. He spent countless hours playing in the world of Skyrim, but at the moment he can’t decide which is his favorite game, between Warframe and Mount & Blade, they are so different and yet a hard choice to make…

His curiosity of knowing how video games are made didn’t stop at just playing them, he worked in several game projects. Although with us he learned things that he expected to be more prepared for, he is very invested to help the project and always finds a deeper meaning for features or solutions we want to implement.

May we introduce Paul Cheesman? He started as a developer and discovered his talent for technical art with which he not only has fun but also makes everything look amazing.

With 4 y/o and a ZX Spectrum he learned the best tactics to streak, one of the few cassette games available at the time. He has fast fingers, handy for fighting games and winning a Dead or Alive III local competition proves it. His favorite games are Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima, but they can’t compare to the amount of hours he spent in Hollow Knight.

20 years in the fitness industry didn’t stop him from going back to University and follow his gut telling him to do something different. That brought him here, loving the project so much that he wishes that someone already did it before, because now he still needs to wait to play it. Knowing that, we are certain that he will do everything to bring the project to be the best it can be.

It’s time to MOVE with Raúl Solís, our 3D animator. He sets new standards with every character he works on, he gives them their own soul and nature.

A Super Nintendo was gifted by his dad when he was little, he would have a lot of fun playing Super Mario Kart but little Raúl didn't like losing and many controllers were thrown around. He discovered online multiplayer games at a friends house which opened him to a huge new world. His Favorite game ever is Halo Reach and the game he spent the most time on is League of Legends.

He is our only animator but doesn’t feel pressured, everyone is helpful and he likes that we prioritize creativity. We can’t wait to see everything coming to life.

The 3D team is growing with Santiago Gutierrez, with him we will smooth the work flow creating all the assets needed.

His cousin got his hand on a Nintendo 64 and dragged him into the world of video games. The story tells that he defeated his friend placed Top 5 in Super Smash bros, a thing that only happens once in a lifetime. He loves the Halo Saga and has spent over a thousand hours in Elden Ring.

Everyone enjoys the team dynamic and with him is not different, he has a lot of fun with the team in discord and the constant feedback between artist has a good impact on the quality of his happy props.

From 2D to 3D, Maximiliano Hernández is the pillar of the 3D team, responsible for ensuring the quality of all the assets, and giving them his special touch.

As a little child he went frequently to the arcades and played PacMan and mortal combat with his dad, and he had a console at home, but seeing the Nintendo NES with the light gun in his friends house, made an impact on him. Some of his favorite games are, street fighter II, Mario RPG and Final Fantasy IIV, but he spent most of his hours playing Ninja Warriors and Killer Instinct.

He loves the project and puts passion on his work. His ambition to learn new ways to optimize the work, will make us progress faster.

The Dev basement has a new chair with Siew Liang Foong’s name or Max for shorter, he has a gift on finding solutions and solving design functionalities, that will smoother the progress and save valuable time.

What would you think if a friend tells you he has a PlayStation? little Max pictured in his mind a whole room full of table games, toys and fun stuff. But all he came to find was something looking like a plastic box, to his surprise that box opened a door to many new and exciting worlds that fascinated him. After that he got a PC where he could play Japanese Nintendo games using an emulator. TitanFall 2 is one of his favorite games together with Free Space saga, and he spent hundreds of hours in Dota II, Bomerman, and Hollow Night.

Max always wanted to make games of his own, but without experience it was really hard for him to get started, he is loving the project and he wants to improve all of his skills and make a difference.

Finally you get to know the artist behind all this awesome portraits, Favio Valiente our Creative Director, with his innate talent he will design every asset of the game and make it look special.

His dad is the cause of his game addiction, through Aladin he started his journey. Creative games are really interesting for him like Minecraft or Animal Crossing where he can create his own fantasy worlds. His favorite game is BioShock Infinite it’s story blew his mind, going back to creative games Don’t Starve Together is the game he spent the most of the time.

The closest thing to working on a video game was making a demo with a friend, which he enjoyed a lot. So when he found this opportunity he wanted to dive into the project.

Let’s meet our beloved CEO, Dr. Gerd Mikulcak he supports us from the background dealing with administrative and organizational tasks.

He got in touch with gaming through his children, after buying them a Saga Mega Drive he played Sonic and found it entertaining. It was a nice way to spend time with his son, playing Mario Kart 64 together or helping him with Donkey Kong 64 and achieving 120 stars in his favorite game, Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is the game he played the most where he completed all 880 moons.

He wants to see his sons dreams come true, and for that he encourages all of us to give our best.

Here we have Kevin Chen, a good friend of Karsten, that with the experience of building his own successful business will guide us on the right direction.

His first contact with video games was with Heroes of Might and Magic at a Friend’s house. They burned it onto a CD so he could play it on his own, and since then he couldn’t wait to put his hands on all kind of new games. He had a competitive phase in StarCraft 2 where his MMR was flying through the skies much before they added the Grand Master League. Dark Souls 3 is his favorite game, and World of Warcraft is by far the game that consumed most of his time.

He sees the potential of the project, and wants to be able to show it to his son some day.

A warm welcome to Laia Mas, our Marketing & Community Manager, her experience in the product design industry will come in handy.

She was 8 the first time a computer entered her home, and spent evenings watching how her brother played games until eventually wanted to play them herself. Played all kind of games, had a lot of fun with strategy games like Age of Mythology or Warcraft 3, where she even build her own maps. Port Royale 2 and Dragon Age: Origins are her favorite games of all times, but her /played in World of Warcraft can almost be beaten by the time she spent playing Sims 2 and creating personalized assets for it.

She loved the project from the first moment and it’s her goal to bring it closer to you.

His gaming interest started with a GameBoy Color, but after getting a computer with 13 he has been a PC gamer ever since. He likes all kind of games, enjoys shooters to release stress, spent thousands of hours in World of Warcraft, and his favorite games ever are The Witcher 3 and Slay the Spire.

He believes in the success of the project, and has our backs with his valuable input, that he acquired through his professional career.

We want to introduce you to our game director, the thinking mind and the heart of the company.

A gamer from a really early age, thousands of hours spent in World of Warcraft leading a top 10 European guild with only 14 years old. He is always looking for a challenge from playing Lion King through on super Nintendo, to getting platinum trophy in dark souls/blood borne sagas. His favorite game of all times is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite where solo killing a White Fatalis is something he feels most proud.

His background in programming and passion for gaming is what made him start Wicked Games and bring all of us together to embark on this adventure.
