Don't pick me. ... Pick Somebody Else!
Don't pick me!
How come... every time I finally get a chance to SIT DOWN here they come with "can you's"
Can you please fix me something to eat (after they just ate)
Can you please help me with my homework (daddy doesn't know how to do it right)
Can you please reach this for me?
(Mind you I'm 5'4 and dad is 6'6)🤷🏾♀️
Moms...when you finally get the opportunity to relax ... learn to deligate or simply say NO!
No doesn't mean never.
It just means not right now.
If you know you don't have the mental bandwidth at the moment saying no or delegating is crucial to your self-care.
Don't walk around all stressed out and mumbling under your breath in anger cuz you agreed to do it when you know you didn't have the capacity to do it in the first place!

How to deal with stress during the holiday season while Coparenting
How to deal with stress during the holiday season while Coparenting
The Devil is a liar 😈
My Live did not post!
But I recorded it...so here's the replay!
Sometimes life throws curve balls at us. That's just how it is sometimes. But how we handle it, is important. With all of the travel restrictions in place I could have said, forget it.... This is just too much! But instead, I took things as it came, so that I would not cause myself unnecessary stress over things I can't control anyway!
So today, I talked about ways of dealing with stress during the holidays, because things will come up to throw you off.
In blended families and co-parenting relationships things are every changing. But when you change your mindset of how you handle things, you will see that it flows differently.
I chose these scriptures to help when you have moments of stress and anxiety.
Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message)
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Psalm 37:7-9 (New International Version)
7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
I hope this helps if any stress comes up for you this holiday season and I hope you find comfort in these scriptures.
As always, I'm here to support you!

Election Check in!
Election Check in!
How are you all doing today?
I know so many people are over the moon excited about the results of the Presidency and I've encountered a few that were less than enthused.... and they expressed it verbally with all their MF-ing this and GD that and how much BS this was.
I personally have mixed emotions because I feel like I'm in the balance somewhere. The word PROJECTED makes me uneasy. I'm Happy because this is historic but pessimistic because I know that the challenges from the current resident is right around the corner. I'm trying to figure out how long he will drag this out.
My hesitation to be happy prompted me to write in my journal, which I haven't done in a while. My journal was a gift from my kids for Mother's day and has a pocket with journal prompts, quotes and scriptures (compliments of my daughter).
And the scripture I picked is from
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
I hope you all find peace in that scripture no matter what side of the fence you are on. God has the final say regardless of who is in office, so let's put our trust in him!
God bless!🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤

Don't Assume
When communicating with your co-parent.....
Don't assume!
Don't walk into the conversation thinking you already know how they're going to act or what they're going to say!
Doing this only makes you build up that wall... and doesn't allow you to truly hear them and Building the wall only blocks you from having a civil conversation AT ALL!
Give them the opportunity to share their thoughts and if you are still unclear on their request....
Ask questions.
Start off by repeating back to them what they said to you, so you're clear that you heard correctly and they're assured that you were listening.

Sis, how can you heal when you keep pretending you're NOT HURT?!?!
Often times you pretend or ignore the fact that you feel anything as a defense mechanism. It's your way of shielding yourself from the pain...but ignoring it and pretending it doesn't exist doesn't help you deal with it so you can heal and move forward.
Today I talk about the myth you tell yourselves about the feelings and how it shows up in your lives.

Moms in Prayer Final Reaction
Moms in Prayer and it was beautiful. I talked about The Good Mom Redefined and boy oh boy... its amazing how many moms were feeling the same way.
Many have been made to feel bad because of their recent decisions to either keep their children home or send them back to school when the school year begins and the feelings of guilt were burdening them.
#homeschool or #virtuallearning
Well...we lifted that burden tonight!
Your situation might not look like someone else's but that doesn't make yours right and theirs wrong or vice versa... it simply makes it different.
I gave the #1 Myth of what a "Good Mom" is
#1 Mistake restricting your Motherhood
And the solution to redefining Motherhood on your own terms.
On the call...the moms all embraced their differences and let go of some of the good mom stigmas that have been restricting Motherhood. Moms on the call even made some New Empowering and Affirming statements of their own!
