Life can be busy at times for sure. The past few we’re definitely a busy few days but Caspian sure enjoyed himself, & I Loved hanging out with one of my older boys (Dylan Mathias) this week too.

Taking a vacation with an (almost) 2 year old (busy life) barely did any detecting lol.

A few finds over the past few days before going to work. Hopefully I get out again before the ground freeze’s this year.

Some good finds but the most interesting was a 1943 US, MERC WW2 minted Dime.

Not a bad test run on my new Minelab 600 today. It’s going to be a learning curve for sure but still a great day out with a buddy I’m trying to get into the hobby. He even got his first coin on day one. My day one was nothing but trash lol

Anyone else shocked at what we actually pull out of our beaches?

I get the bottle caps and pull tabs. But the wires, nails, & screws? This is what is making me sceptical about bringing my son to some of the local beaches I’ve detected.

Of course the other finds is what makes me want to hit up all beaches lol

If anyone is interested I have my new YouTube channel out which I will be using for tutorials on “learning the art of Metal Detecting”.

From - must have equipment to settings on the Minelab Vanquish series metal detectors. - Or whatever else I learn about the hobby.

And I’ll be videoing some of my outings and taking people to some pretty amazing beaches and other areas in the Quinte region and across Southern Ontario.
