#27 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan. With all the craze of Mr. Zimmerman as of late I had to add him to the list and this album I think stands up to one of his very best. As much as I like solo acoustic Dylan I can’t resist full band Dylan, “like a rolling stone” “Tombstone Blues” and “ballad of a thin man” all appear on this one. My favorite does come at the end with the 11 minute “Desolation row”

#26 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Sublimes self titled album. Earliest memory of this was my sister listening to this, always thought “what I got” was such a jam. Later to discover this is pretty much a no skip album too. My personal fav is the Marly cover “Jailhouse”. Too bad Bradly Nowell never got to see the whole success of this band due to an early passing two months before the release of the album. Great album, anyone wanna jam some sublime sometime?

#25 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have E***a of the State by Blink 182. One of the biggest albums of my teens years , if not the biggest. I remember exactly where I was when I first got the album, my mom picked up from school and there she had it, sealed and ready for a listen. The second the album starts in comes the opening riff to “Dumpweed” ( also the first riff I played when I got my TD Strat and probably my TD starcaster). “All the small things” , “ What’s my age again?” “Adams Song” and so many others. There’s so much I can say about what this album meant to me…..maybe on the 90s night I’ll go on….

#24 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Antidote by Greywind. The Irish pop-punkers release this one in 2024. I’ve tried to describe them as a female fronted my chemical romance and when you heard the opening riff to “antidote” you will understand why. I actually tried to get them on the show but to no answer, maybe I’ll try again. Have a listen to “swing and sway” the albums opener, Kind of a hidden gem band to me.

#23 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Definetly Maybe by Oasis. Just picked this up today, imho Noel is one of the greatest songwriters of the 90s and I’ll argue it ahah. Album is packed with oasis classics “supersonic” “cigarettes and alcohol” “live forever” and “slide away”. This is one of 3 or even times you’ll see this band on this list. I was Lucky enough to score tickets this September to one of the shows at the Rosebowl. Now to unwrap and listen

#22 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Neon Ballroom by silverchair. I’d imagine this will be the first of 3 entry’s from them. Album kicks off with “anthem for the year 2000” which is one of the anthems of my youth. Me and a couple close friends were really big fans and got the 1 and only chance to see them at edgefest 99 at the downs. The whole album is a banger and delivered a different sound for silverchair with a few standouts “ Emotion sickness” “Ana’s Song” and “paint pastel princess” I’m sure this will get some comments as one of the a great albums to close out the 90s

#21 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have Third eye blind debut self titled album. I have very early memories of listening to the album but mostly the singles having lots of airtime on much music with Songs such as “Jumper” “how’s it going to be” “semi charmed life” and “losing a whole year”. Absolutely love this album, no skips!!! If you’ve never heard it skip the singles and go straight to “The Background” and “god of wine”. Top 3 fav bands of all time. Check out the rest of discography as well, they will appear multiple times this year.

#20 on Pegcity soundoffs 364 favorite albums I have bring back movie quote song titles by locals Sleep/less. Everytime I listen to this I feel it takes me back to my youth even thought it came out only two years ago. Definitely burned though this one during the summer and looking forward to catching more of them. Check out “Monday morning quarterback”.
