3 Reasons I’m not posting my baby’s full face on social media...from a social media marketer:
1. As a girl mom, it honestly just spooks me. I used to get served content from the cutest little girl on T*kT*k because her silly antics were just a daily happiness boost for me. But then it came out that this very page was experiencing some weird behaviour and a spooky number of post saves from men, and that felt icky to me (and the mom/creator!) 🫣🙅🏻♀️
2. I don’t really feel the need to!don’t get me wrong, i have no judgment at all if people do, and honestly I still get tempted to post about her because she’s SO FREAKING CUTE, we just want to save her for in-person visits with people who are actually in Flo’s life. Will I always feel this way? Not sure! But right now Chris and I plan to keep her ‘private.’
3. AI, hacking, and identity theft are no joke. Do I think this will happen to Flo? Not reeeeeally, but even just being someone who has had her account hacked and duplicated as a false account in the past, I don’t need to subject her to the possibility of anything negative like that.
I’m curious, how do you feel about posting your children on social media, and would you add any other reasons NOT to, to my list?
