I had a Northern Flicker hit my window last night. Thankfully after about 10 mins, it recovered and flew away. I was so shocked, wasn’t sure what to do, so here’s a few tips 🙂 ~Alix
Had this guy hit my window last night. I was a little freaked out and didn't know what to do. If this happens to you, Wildlife Haven shared a few tips. ~alix
1. **Gently place the bird in a safe, enclosed space**: Use a cardboard box lined with a towel. Small air holes should be added to the box for ventilation.
2. **Keep the bird in a quiet, dark location**: This reduces stress and allows the bird to recover if it is only stunned.
3. **Do not attempt to feed or give water to the bird**: Feeding an injured or stunned bird can cause harm.
4. **Monitor the bird**: If the bird does not recover within a couple of hours, give us a 📞 @wildlifehaven 204-878-3740
