When I was 16, I was shipping hoodies all around Manitoba from my bedroom.
No fancy setup. Just a tape gun, some Sharpies, and a Google Doc I called my “CRM.”
I had no idea what a CRM actually was. I just knew I needed a system to keep up with orders.
This was before MAD.
Before socials were a business.
Before I had a team, a logo, or a website.
But even back then —
I was chasing that feeling.
Of building something real.
Of seeing an idea take shape, hit the mailroom, and somehow make it into someone’s life.
It wasn’t about the hoodie.
It was about what it meant to people.
A piece of where they were from. A shared inside joke. A reason to talk to someone at school.
Now, it’s different — but the feeling is the same.
Whether we’re creating campaigns, content, or strategy — it always comes back to:
Can this make someone feel something?
Can this help a business get seen?
Can this turn into something real?
That same girl still lives in me — just with better tools, a sharper instinct, and a way louder team group chat.
And I’m still just getting started.
