Camping amongst the clouds.
Setting up the higher camps is far from a simple task. Meticulous plans ruined because of poor weather conditions. The dangers of the Khumbu Icefall magnified.
For almost 3 weeks, members of the Sherpa team made multiple trips to the higher camps to set up and bring enough supplies to last, even if their stay is extended because of weather conditions.
After the camps were set up, Mingma, Pasang, and the Sherpa team spent nearly 2 weeks in the higher camps, adapting their plans due to severe wind and snow.
In a season riddled with unfavourable weather, will Mingma be able to fulfill his promise of restoring Mount Everest to its natural state?

Perspective. A different vantage point of Mingma and Pasang during their quest to restore Mother Goddess of the World, Mount Everest, to its natural state.
Many people who dream of summiting Mount Everest want to do it so they can add to their list of personal accomplishments, to cross another item off their bucket list.
For Mingma, this journey is much more than a bucket list item. Despite warnings from God, his faith fuels his determination to honour and respect Mother Goddess of the World by cleansing the mountain.

For nearly 2 months, these tents at Everest Base Camp were home for the Sherpa team as they prepared for the most dangerous and unpredictable parts of Mingma’s epic journey.
Will the weather cooperate? How quickly and drastically will the Khumbu Icefall change? Will the virus make its way to Base Camp? These are factors that heavily impact the journey but are also completely out of Mingma and the Sherpa team’s hands.

Light trails of Sherpa teams navigating the Khumbu Icefall on their way to the higher camps with supplies during moonset.
Treks, expeditions, and summit attempts would not be possible without the Sherpa team. They climb through the dangerous and unpredictable Khumbu Icefall many times to set up the higher camps.
In 2014, Mingma narrowly escaped death in the Khumbu Icefall. While climbing the Icefall, an ice avalanche was triggered by a falling serac killing 16 Sherpa guides. Mingma escaped physically unscathed but, to this day, is still heartbroken at the loss of his friends.
The constant shifts in the Khumbu Icefall result in changing crevasses. The unpredictability of the movements can lead to deadly accidents.
