The Windsor Spitfires have relieved Jerrod Smith of his duties as Head Coach effective immediately. Jerrod had served as Associate Coach / Assistant Coach for a number of seasons prior to his promotion to Head Coach in the summer of 2023. He has been a committed coach and advocate for the Spitfires for many years. His support and dedication have been exemplary. We thank Jerrod for his effort and commitment and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
WELL IT'S SEASON OPENER WEEK!
Spitfires take on Sarnia in the season opener at Progressive auto Sales Arena Friday, then on Saturday spitfires take on the Owen Sound Attack at 7:05! With that being said this will be our first full season we sill cover! Weekly episodes start on Tuesday!!

With Canada on the Brink of Elimination is the Hlinka Gretzky Cup (u17) they currently lead the Swiss 2-0 at the end of 20.
Canada needs to win by 3 goals to guarantee making it out of Preliminary round. This is a intense match up and both teams are playing great. If Canada doesn't win by 3, Slovakia has to beat Finland in any fashion.

Well boys, there is honestly not much to say.
It was a hell of a season some great games, hits, and fights. The last 4 weeks of the regular season really showed what was wrong with this team. I have been saying this since the beginning of the season how bad our defence was. Then more issues showed up and it really showed us what actually is wrong with the team and how bad the coaches actually are.
Now I could go on about how bad this team was but in reality, This is the most talented team in the last 5-6 years. It was a hell of a season, We are going to lose some big stars and other players as the team as 8 over agers including: Maggio, Onuska, Renwick, Holms, Wright, Soblev, Jodion. When you have big players on the team and the coaching style is no hitting you have to turn a eye on the coaching staff.
I hope as a spitfires Season ticket holder and a fan Bill bowler makes the wright decision and clean out coaching staff, Marc Savard really showed where is head is at the last 5 weeks and honestly he should've been gone around December. On to next season Focus on a good draft and get back to it next year.
Congratulations to the Kitchener rangers on the Sweep of the Windsor Spitfires, They are a extremely talented team and should be a top 3 team.

I thought it was a automatic 5 game suspension but Dionicio away with a extremely stupid move.
OWEN SOUND CAME BACK AND WON! WINDSOR WILL PLAY KITCHENER RANGERS IN THE FIRST ROUND!
ALL STARTS ON THURSDAY!!
As we clinch the Western Conference Championship for the second year in a row we are still waiting on who we are going to play in the first round. There is a tight battle for 8th seed in the western conference.
FIRST PENALTY SHOT OF THE SEASON AND AIDEN CASTLE PUTS IT AWAY!! 3-0 SPITS END OF 2ND!!!

The 2 penalties they missed on Saturday nights game is ridiculous. This is the first one Blatant interference leads to the first fight. The crowd erupts ina “Refs you suck” chant as they did not call penalties on either of them.
