Searching for new models to be in the 2018 Whistler Exposed Calendar. Please submit a Face and Body shot to [email protected] before Noon on Tuesday, April 11th! Models must be available to be photographed in Whistler between April 18-23 for the winter portion of the calendar. Alternate shoot dates will be in late May.

Company History

WHISTLER EXPOSED is owned and operated by Shannen Shayla Carlson. Having been a local resident of Whistler for many years, Shannen decided to get creative and launch Whistler’s first of its kind annual calendar during the 2010 Winter Games.

The calendar was very well received and picked up by the many international tourists and world class athletes as their premier souvenir to take home with them as a reminder of the beauty and attractions they came to see for themselves.

The calendar was even featured with Pop Musician Usher on a CTV Canada Wide Newscast. In October 2010, WHISTLER EXPOSED was very proud to hand over a cheque to The Canadian Spinal Cord Research Organization in the amount of $10,000 from combined calendar sales and events featuring the models. Participating events included The World Ski and Snowboard Festival, Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival, various corporate golf tournaments and the annual Search for Miss Whistler to name just a few.

In 2011, a memorable achievement was made when the calendar received a Bronze Award in the category of Best Wall Glamour Photography from the National & World Calendar Association. This was a true honor for the team and models of WHISTLER EXPOSED and made the town of Whistler proud once again for the accomplishment. The calendar also expanded its events to include The Ultimate Ski Bunny, Miss Trail Bunny, and The Next Top Calendar Model Searches. The year end marked an additional donation of yet another $10,000 towards spinal cord research.

The momentum continued in 2012 with another Bronze win from The Calendar Association and a huge contract with The Calendar Club chain of over 200 stores across Canada to feature the product.

Now about to enter its tenth anniversary edition, this special twelve month calendar takes you to the scenic mountains and glacier fed lakes of Whistler Blackcomb to highlight all of the attractions and majestic beauty the town has to offer. The 2019 WHISTLER EXPOSED Calendar will be the hottest release of the year featuring more than a dozen local models shot by renowned fashion and editorial photographer Erich Saide.

The calendar continues to draw much attention and promotion to many businesses and attractions in Whistler and leaves its lasting impression on the many international visitors and tourists that visit the number one ranked ski resort destination in North America.

No stranger to the industry, Shannen has worked in sales and marketing for many years in Vancouver, BC and has run several modelling competitions over the years including Miss Canadian Swimwear Model of the Year, Miss Bikini Body Canada, and Miss Whistler from 2006 - 2015. A former cheerleader in the Canadian Football league, and a past model herself, she looks forward with continuing production on a high quality product that hopes to carry on for many years to come.
