Judy Estrin and I have great news. The feature length documentary “A 20th Century Passion” that we began 7 years is now getting revived. We have done more filming and a lot of editing, and now the time has come for me to ask you for a little help.
The documentary is finally nearing completion. This is the second time I am asking the community for help. The first was for finishing funds for a documentary I shot and co-produced about homelessness, Us and Them.
This current film, A 20th Century Passion is about Peter Gary, a Hungarian born composer, who survived 3 death camps under the N**i regime. In the Early 70’s, Peter wrote an Oratorio, spanning World War 1 to the Nuremburg trials, and includes his experience of living and surviving for over 3 years in 3 separte death camps.
Peter had a message, and that was to stamp out hate. He delivered that message personally to almost 60,00 children all over Canada.
For me this film is a passion project. I have not received any sort of funding t over this time, but now, I’m faced with some very real hard costs to finish the film. This includes more editing time and then there is online, color correction, graphics, sound mix, closed captioning legals and more.
Please support me so that I can finish the feature length documentary, A 20th Century Passion. Any contribution will help bring the film to completion, and with that, the message, stamp out hate.
If you would be so kind, please share.
