DRK DGTL presents The Treatz Fundraiser:
The DRK DGTL crew is bringing the community together in support of one of the crew’s founders Marcel Evans or known to the DJ/Rave community as Treatz. Treatz had a bad accident at the end of may that has left him with life altering injuries, he has been recovering in the hospital but the road to recovery will be along one for him and his family. The rest of the crew has decided to bring the community together and host this fundraiser where all proceeds will go to support Treatz, his wife and child. A link to the go fund me is found here:

The Rumblejam Grooves are a 6 piece youth jazz band concluding their two-and-a-half-year run as a band with a farewell tour of British Columbia.

Bring your dancing shoes and be ready to swing and rock out to some groovy and traditional-style tunes. Watch as they hit Victoria and close out the Island leg of the tour with the help of Quadratic Sound!

After their set, we will roll into a Jazz style Open Jam. All musicians welcome, we will provide a backline, but please bring your own instruments as well.

About the album:
While dreaming about houses that have been torn down and shows that happened in venues that don’t exist anymore, Future Star’s newest album It’s About Time! explores the space between now and then. A retrospective on seven years of songwriting, It’s About Time! reminds us that a moment can go on infinitely, a memory can be shared, and something might have changed when you weren’t looking.

Recorded and produced by long time friend Andromeda Monk, the album is at times minimalistic in texture with upright piano and voice, and at times lushly arranged with additions of synthetic strings, flutes and drum machine. Breathing naturally and comfortably, like a body at rest, it invites the listener to breathe naturally and comfortably, because everything is going to happen no matter what.

Maybe a song can be like a body, and their cells can replace themselves after a certain period of time. Maybe a story can be like a person that takes time to realise who they are. Maybe a city can be livable and you don’t need to move to Montreal, or the suburbs.

Our cells turn over, the wick burns shorter, and maybe when the light hits just right and everything comes into focus, you will make the next best decision you’ve ever made. Mint Records supports this release, vinyl and all streaming platforms on July 5 2024.

Hello everyone, Quadratic sound and I are here to deliver you the COOLEST drug-free party this side of the border. In my years as a DJ, I’ve encountered many people who want to party but don’t want to remain out until after midnight or be in the company of others who are drinking and doing drugs. We are glad to announce that we will now be providing exactly that, with admittance on a sliding scale to make it affordable for everyone.

As someone who is in drug and alcohol recovery, there aren’t many opportunities for people like us to express ourselves via dance and music in a secure setting. I’m really excited to be doing this type of event and I’ve heard quadratic gets a lot of requests for it.

If you follow the ‘Vancouver’ dance music scene, you’ve probably already heard the name Dairy Free (Van, Wax When You Want, Bleach). We recently saw Dairy Free spin an incredible b2b set at the Foundation after party (ft. headliners DJ Heartstring) in ‘Van’ and we couldn’t be more excited to hear more over here on the island.

LuNasty (14th Guest, Vicious Poodle resident) hit the ground running when it comes to djing. New-ish to the decks but already well established and fast rising in the dance music and nightlife scene here in ‘Vic’, we’re stoked to host her for the first time.
