Nori and I were out exploring today, looking for new objects to scan. I have always been fascinated with the railyard.

Vancouver Island has a rich history, with remainents of it still remaining everywhere. This rail car sits abandoned in a yard that will soon be developed. Created in RealityCapture by Capturing Reality from 437 images in 00h:18m:30s.

I'm going to start digitally scanning unique real world objects more regularly. This is an example from last year. Hopefully I can find some more locations around Victoria. Let me know of other interesting spots you would like scanned.

Victoria, BC is a unique city with a mixture of industry industry in the heart of the downtown core. This is a tower at the local concrete yard. This is a model from last year but I am using software to add trees and people. Experimenting with different techniques to help bring these scans to life.
