I’ve used for the last year & they’ve become one of my go to brands when it comes to my cat’s care. Their Omega 3 Fish Oil has become a staple in our household & I love that I can trust PlanoPaws to be safe & effective. When PlanoPaws sent me their Lick Safe Cat Paw Balm to try, I was excited to add another weapon to our cat care arsenal. 🐾❤️

I’ve used paw balms before but never found one I loved. They were either ineffective, toxic, costly, or hard to apply. I haven’t had any of those issues with the PlanoPaws Paw Balm & have been impressed by how much of a difference it has made and how easy it is to apply. Most paw balms that I have used have been to size of a lip balm which is great for travel but I’ve always found it a little difficult to apply seeing how I have to apply it to the pad & each toe bean. PlanoPaws still has a lip balm size option which I’m sure is wonderful, but they also have a larger size which is about the size of a small deodorant. This size makes it so easy to apply & all I do is swipe my cat’s paw across the balm & give them a tiny foot massage to rub it in. It dries fast & is lick safe so even if your cat noms its little bean toes, it’s perfectly fine.

PlanoPaws Paw Balm is made from natural organic ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, almond oil & vitamin E to serve as paw protector and moisturizer for cats. Not only that, but you can use it on your cat’s nose as well if it’s looking a bit dry or chapped. 💧

One of my cats has Horned Paws which are basically painless keratin growths that resemble little horns or “extra claws” on the paw pads. Moisturizing is one of the primary treatments for this condition & can help prevent the hard, thick skin from growing. This paw balm has really improved the state of his skin in the last month we’ve been using it. I’m looking forward to continuing to use PlanoPaws Paw Balm as part of our daily routine & can’t wait to continue to see the positive effects over time. 😍

Chris and I are off to visit family in Nova Scotia! 🇨🇦 In a couple hours we’re flying all the way from our home in Victoria on the West Coast to Halifax and Antigonish on the East! My energy levels have been so low lately and I’m so excited to spend a week away from responsibilities. ✈️😮‍💨

Unfortunately the kitties can’t join us this time round but get to spend some time running the apartment with check ins from Cat Grandpa and honourary Cat Uncle 💛 I’m devastated to leave them behind and am having major separation anxiety and I havent even left the house yet. 😿😭

I’m sure I’ll post a bit while away but I really want to focus on family and take some time away from social media over this next week. I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out and am really looking forward to connect with myself and nature. I can’t wait to come back refreshed and get my creative juices flowing to make some awesome content for you all! Thank you all for your support! Happy Friday! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!🌱🌷🌿

It’s been amazing having some nicer weather and being able to get out and about with the kitties. Last weekend we went out to Hatley Castle and B.C.
Government House and frolicked in the flowers and smelled all the smells (cats were watched carefully in daffodils and other flowers). We have so many adorable photos and videos to post in the next few weeks! It’s not supposed to be as nice this weekend so we might be staying in and cuddling instead but still nice to see the weather changing!⛅️

Figured it was time I introduced myself! Hi! I’m Kira and I’m Aria, Mozart, Notes and Maestro’s mom. 🐱

I live in Victoria BC with my partner and cat dad, Chris . I’m usually the voice behind the account (besides the cats’ of course) but you’ll see plenty of Chris as well. 🇨🇦📍

All my life, I’ve been a lover of all creatures and anything creative-especially music. 🎵 After owning dogs most of my childhood, in 2010 at age 15, I rescued Notes and Maestro from under a chicken at my music teachers farm in the Okanagan Valley. 13 years later in 2023 after the loss of Maestro, Chris and I adopted Aria and Mozart from . 😻

With the addition of 2 new kittens, it seemed like the perfect time to make a cat Instagram as another creative outlet. I have a passion for content creation and have experience from running my own small business so this was a great opportunity to have some fun and share my babies with the world. 🌎😜

I love brightening people’s day and making them laugh and I’m so happy that I now get to do that with the 3 creatures that are constantly brightening mine. I’ve made so many friends and connections in the cat community and I’m so grateful for all the followers and support we’ve received. 𝐇𝐢! 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐭 (𝐌𝐨)! 😻
Our mom and dad, 𝐊𝐢𝐫𝐚 and 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬 adopted us from in Victoria BC in April/June of 2023. We were only 8 weeks and mom can’t believe that we’re almost a year old now. Since we’re rescues, mom’s not sure what breed we are but says Mozart definitely has some Siamese/Ragdoll in him and Aria is a beautiful tabby. We live with our big brother Notes and love to play and annoy him. He wasn’t so sure about us at first but now he absolutely loves us and grooms us and even lets us suckle on his toes. He’s the best and teaches us how to “cat” daily. He’s also kind of a tattle tale and likes to howl for mom and chase us off when we’re misbehaving.

Because our big brothers have musical names from being found 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 at mom’s 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦, we have musical names as well! 🎶

We love to play with toys, eat treats and run zoomies around our apartment. We also really like going for walks in our backpack and mom says we’re gonna be great 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐬. We’re both really friendly and absolute cuddle bugs and mom’s convinced Mozart is actually a liquid because he the floppiest rag doll she’s ever seen.

Mom says we’re really coming into our personalities and make her laugh everyday. She’s really enjoyed watching us grow up and bond with our grumpy big brother Notes. Does your cat 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁/over eat?🐱🍔 Read this ⬇️ 🐱🐱🐱I have 3 cats so dinner time is always a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘇𝘆. They eat at drastically different paces and compete against each other for who can finish first and scarf down the others’ food. We’ve started feeding in separate rooms since this video but eating too fast is still something 2 of my cats struggle with. When a cat eats too quickly, they may not realize they overate until the meal’s devoured and they have digestive issues- leading to the 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗴 and a mess to clean up🤢 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 1️⃣𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹- Common in multi pet households. Especially true if there is an alpha who might be hoarding the food causing other pets to eat as much as possible while they have the chance. 2️⃣𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹- Is your cat bored or lonely? Some people snack when they’re bored; Your cat is no different. If they’re lacking stimulation then they will often turn to food for entertainment 3️⃣𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮- Common in rescues and cats who suffered from malnutrition or starvation in the past. The cat may not trust that more food will come and it can be a hard cycle to break. My cat Notes still struggles after 13 years of constant, reliable food. 4️⃣𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁 - The actual food that your cat is eating could also be a factor. A low-quality diet can deprive your pet of important vitamins and minerals. Food packed with grains and additives can cause your cat to eat more because they’re trying to make up for lacked nutrients 5️⃣𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻- Eating too quickly can s

Today is a VERY special day! Today marks 13 years since my 2 first borns- Maestro & Notes- came into my life ❤️🎂🎈 For those of you that don’t know, 13 years ago two very tiny and malnourished kittens were found abandoned by their mom under a chicken on a friends farm in the Okanagan (Yes- under a chicken🐣🐔). They were trying to keep warm and were on the brink of death. After lot of convincing, tears and encouragement from my mother, dad finally reluctantly gave in (of course they were all best buds within days) and we welcomed 2 new members into our family. 🐣🐱 After nursing them back to health, we quickly became each others’s world. They were mine and I was theirs. The boys would follow me around like a mother goose and we really had a bond like no other. These two have saved my life a millions times over and I can’t express how grateful I am that we found each other. 💕 Unfortunately, Maestro passed in January after successfully managing his diabetes for years. Maestro took a drastic turn for the worst and ended up in diabetic ketoacidosis that took us all by surprise. Even at the very end, Notes and Maestro comforted each other at the vet as we watched our sweet boy slip away. 🐱🐱 It was devastating to lose one half of my goofy duo and I know Notes misses his brother every single day. Even through death, their bond survives and remains as special as ever. Whenever Notes plays by himself or a random item falls off a countertop, I know it’s our Maes Man making it known that he’s still here and watching out for us.
