Hi everyone, it seems there is some slander circulating from a band that I have no association with called Peaches and Cream.
I work at the Railway Club as a booking agent. I was brought on after their show had already been self-booked with previous management, I had no contact info for them or details. We wanted to honour the previous bookings when new management took over, and when we tried to contact them to clarify the deal we were ignored. I did not withhold any contract because they never agreed to sign a contract.
The band showed up that day and told me they had been told the only venue cost was 25% of ticket sales, which was never the deal even with the previous management. I worked doors that night just to help out and did share the event on social media just to get people in the door, but I was not working as a promoter for this one.
We let them run their event and afterward, I counted the money, processed the debit sales, wrote down the totals and after that the payouts were between the band and Railway Club management.
I was purely a door girl that night and had nothing to do with payouts. I've explained that I was acting as an employee of the venue that night, but they are blackmailing me thinking I can force the venue to pay them more money. They have said they will "take down their posts when they get their money." The venue has informed me that they already paid the band their portion of sales.
Solar Flare operates as a independent contractor and did not have a contract with this band.
Don't believe lies and slander over facts.
Edit: There is also someone going around saying I "organized a rave and pocketed the money" which was definitely a different promoter because Solar Flare has never organized a rave.
