What type of video do you think we were shooting when this picture was taken?
Believe it or not, this was part of a recruitment video that we produced for one of our clients back in 2015.
Behind-the-scenes of both the Vancouver and Toronto offices of video production company Basetwo Medi We are strategists, producers, educators and storytellers.

Great shoot last Friday with the amazing BC Hydro and Vancouver Fire Rescue teams ⚡️🚒
We're still not over the Olympics... the 2010 Winter Olympics, that is. 🔥🥇
Cool setup for a shoot we did a couple of year ago for one of our clients. It did get a little messy, though 🌭🥤🍿
Here's a video that we produced last year for one of our clients. They were looking to clarify and communicate their role as a regulator - as opposed to that of a professional association.
Lunchtime fun with the team! 🍔🍟🍹
Here are a few more behind-the-scenes photos from a shoot we did a couple of weeks ago at Rice Lake. Gorgeous location!
Here's a project we recently delivered to one of our clients. They were looking for a video to explain their new plan for delivering services.
Since the theme of the plan was “Paddling Together”, we pitched the concept of a canoe paddling along a river, which then “zooms out” at the end to reveal the entire landscape.
Here are some behind the scenes pics from a shoot we did yesterday. We got some great shots with that gorgeous weather 😎 ☀️
In order to really make use of the teaching power of video, there are a few considerations you should keep in mind.
For example, how can you use visuals to your advantage?
Tomorrow is . That's why we're sharing this particular project we did last year for the FNHA. They were looking to build awareness around the Cultural Safety and Humility Standard, which, fundamentally, is a set of rules for preventing anti-indigenous racism in healthcare.
Here are a couple of photos from a shoot we did last summer. It's hard not to love that gorgeous background.
These are a couple of stills from some interviews we shot last week in Squamish. According to our DOP, that second interview subject was a little wooden on camera 🥁😆
Some thoughts from our Account Manager, Matthew Davison, about putting strategy before tactics, and how this translates to successful video projects 📹🎉
The right lighting makes all the difference! ✨ Our team works hard behind the scenes to create the best visual atmosphere for our clients' messages.
Simulating real-life scenarios for a crucial cause. Our crew captured powerful footage for a harm reduction training video shot right in a hospital ER.
Here's a glimpse behind the scenes (top) and the final product (bottom) of a recent interview we filmed on a rooftop overlooking downtown Vancouver. Stunning views and insightful conversation
We take team bonding seriously (and deliciously!). Here's a glimpse of our team enjoying a springtime BBQ on the open water.
Cityscapes, riverscapes, and homescapes - all in a day's work! ️ Here's a peek behind the scenes of a project we shot last year for one of our clients 🏙🏞🏠
A few years ago we partnered with the BC Federation of Students to create a successful campaign video.
The video, combining presenter segments and animation, bolstered their overall communications strategy and helped achieve their goal of eliminating interest on government student loans.
Our Account Manager Matthew Davison represented our team today at the Comms Coffee Chat organized by IABC/BC & CPRS.
He had the chance to discuss topics around communications, marketing, thought leadership and more with an amazing group of people.
We're already looking forward to the next one!
These photos were taken during our last shoot before the Covid-19 pandemic (just a few days before the state of emergency was declared in BC). It's hard to believe 4 years have passed⏳🪽
Tax season has already started, so it's the perfect time to learn the basics about filing your taxes in Canada.
Here's the first of a series of videos that we produced a couple of years ago for one of our clients.

From concept to creation, we love collaborating with our clients to bring their stories to life. Here's a look back at an interview we shot last year
As you can see here, our Writer and Producer, Andrew Muir, takes his job very seriously 😐
We love producing animated videos, but there's always so much to learn when we shoot on location.
Here are some pics from a shoot we did a few years ago for BC Hydro.
A few years ago, we had the amazing opportunity to witness and document the carving process of three different posts.
Hats off to these incredibly skillful Indigenous carvers!

Here's a project that we delivered about a year ago to one of our clients. They were looking to promote the option that people can reach out to them for compliments and complaints about their experiences in the healthcare system.
Storytelling is key in making your message stick. That's why we develop scripts and storyboards to lay a solid foundation before any production work begins.
Here's a project that we recently delivered to one of our clients who wanted to build greater awareness of what 'powered by water' means and encourage British Columbians to commit to clean energy solutions.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is just around the corner. To commemorate it, we're sharing a project we completed earlier this year for one of our clients. They were looking to engage and communicate the work they've done around reconciliation and educate their team on key aspects of First Nations history in Canada. You can learn more and watch the other two videos in the series here: https://videoforbusiness.ca/portfolio/telus-truth-reconciliation/
Here's a video that we created a couple of years ago for one of our clients. Here's the intro video of a series we recently produced for one of our clients. They were looking to showcase the effect of Trauma and Resiliency Informed Principles (TRIP) in bed-based substance use treatment and mental health support facilities.
Since 2004, we have worked with a variety of clients in health care, government and education.
We are strategists, producers, educators and storytellers. Here’s how we work:
We’ll start by exploring your overall strategy to see how we fit in and how the results of our work will be measured.
We’ll help to determine how many videos you might need, how long they should be, as well as how to best use storytelling and visuals to their full potential.
We’ll develop scripts and storyboards, leading you through a series of revisions to lay a solid foundation before any production work will begin.
Our crews can film in-studio or on-site at locations across Canada. Watch your project come to life with animation, sound design, voice-overs and music.
Our work has just begun upon project delivery. We’ll provide custom thumbnail images and closed caption files, and can help you with video hosting optimization.
We’ll ensure that the necessary tools and integrations are in-place so that you can measure results and report on your return-on-investment.
