June 2023: I remember talking to Daniel Marshall about his book proposal “Untold Tales of Old British Columbia.” As an Ontario transplant, I learned a lot from reading the manuscript and Daniel and I had great conversations about how BC history connects with current events. I thought people would find the book interesting but – WOW – I had no idea it would end up on three bestsellers list, including this ‘Bestsellers of 2024”! Having fairly recently acquired Ronsdale Press, Untold Tales was a learning curve on how to keep up with demand without overloading the warehouse! Thank you to Daniel for his patience and good humour as I worked out our supply chain challenges!

"Have Bassoon, Will Travel," George Zukerman's memoir, is one of BC Review’s “Picks for 2024” The book “is both wonderfully eye-opening and hugely entertaining. The humour, extravagant language, and vivid details make all the more impact because through them shines the author’s warmth and humility.”

Homage to the Mac-Paps

Keefer Street (Ronsdale Press, 2024) by David Spaner.

“The book is fiction, but the historic references are real as Spaner toggles from 1930s Vancouver to 1980s Spain in telling the story of Canada’s Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion.”
