The publication aims to embrace the diverse stories of the Emily Carr community. All members of the ECU community are enc

A postcard designed for the members of the Chinese-Filipino community. “Lan-nang-oe”, literally translates to our people’s language.
This is my attempt at visualizing a dialect without a proper writing system and capture the ever adaptable way it integrates multilingualism with English, Chinese, and Filipino.

HANGUL.ZIP
The experience of different senses interacting simultaneously is called synesthesia. Examples of this include hearing music when looking at an image, or hearing a word when seeing a colour. We invite you to experience it first hand at Hangul.zip.
Hangul was made by King Sejong the Great in 1443. It was made for the people of Korea to gain lingual independence and increase the quality of life through educating the illiterate. Through this exhibit, we aimed to showcase Hangul, the most scientific script in the world, so that it enables the viewers to experience synesthesia through the beauty of its form, its transformative structure, and correlating sounds.

The Editorial Team is a charming bunch who are responsible for a variety of things at Woo. They each write a personal editorial piece to be featured in each issue, spanning a wide range of topics and formats. They are also responsible for the interviews over at , as well as editing and proofreading artist statements and other copy throughout the publication.
This team’s strengths:
- using proper grammar
- trying to come up with words that rhyme with orange
- not understanding the concept of a word limit
- taking notes at the speed of light when interviewing artists who love to talk
