Conceived from the idea to unite and promote our Northwest electronic music scene, You Plus One emerged originally as a successful attempt to keep the house + techno scene alive locally in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2011, it has carved a name for itself by throwing legendary events for music lovers, jump-starting many careers in the industry, lending + creating the sound + image for different venues

, supporting + mentoring local artists, + building connections with the greater international community. YPO's goal is to guide talent, expose new people to the beautiful, artistic, + underground world of house and techno, + ultimately help represent Canada within the global underground scene.

For the very 1st time in almost a decade of HAUSPARTY history + 100s of shows, we have to postpone an international headliner. Due to visa issues, Ruede Hagelstein will not be able to make his flight ✈️ to play for us as scheduled. Now, in true YPO style, we troop 🥾 on + look at the bright side ✨! We have the opportunity to shine a light on some of the excellent talent closer to home. (Nathan Hall) is making the trip from Squamish as our fan favourite headliner for this weekend’s new celebration! He will bring his trippy, dark, + unique Indie style that always blows our minds on the dancefloor 🤯

🌝 Sat night: HAUSPARTY is back on with Berliner 🇩🇪 who got his start DJing in the 90s + found recognition not only as a producer with his music on 🔝 iconic labels in House + Techno but also frequently playing Berlin’s greatest venues / famous hubs for the global electronic music scene 🌍. On warm up duties is 🇧🇷 + .ru 🇭🇰, 2 of our longest supporting acts at the HAUS + not so local locals that give us that around the world attitude our city needs 💛

Saturday! For 1 night only we reopen our doors this June for one of the most favourite fun filled special occasions at You Plus One 🎊! Long tradition continues as we celebrate the birthday 🎈 of our beloved multi-talented leader, pillar of creativity in our community for many decades, + producer on top global labels in House and Techno: 🧙‍♂️ ! The mysterious Diego Sanchez + German veteran DJ are on support as 2 of Siavash’s top fav picks to share the decks with. At the HAUS we also have a few upgrades to share, including updated AC + sound + more immersive, art-filled, signature aesthetic that we are known for. We have been working hard to meet this very special deadline + will be putting down the paintbrushes, hammers, + synths for this limited time before we shut the doors once more to keep working in silence ⚒️
