For fans of engrossing literary fiction exploring love, identity, and belonging, “Duck Island” by is a must-read this fall.

Set against the backdrop of a fictionalized Wausau, Wisconsin, Cal Bedrick, who is Jewish, meets a very nice Catholic girl, Frannie Sinkiewicz, who falls hard for the troubled young man.
