Celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities today with “The Originals”!
📽️ “The Originals” is the story of the Caravan Stage Company and Caravan Farm Theatre, in Armstrong B.C. But it is also director Niall McNeil’s, an artist with Downs Syndrome’s exploration of his roots with The Caravan, his ever-evolving arts practice and an homage to one of Canada’s most iconic, ground-breaking and successful theatre companies.

🏀 “It Takes a Village” explores the transformative power of community, mentorship and basketball as it follows Ugandan-Canadian brothers Jonathan and David Mubanda on a journey of resilience and unity as they empower at-risk youth to triumph over adversity. Expertly directed by Christopher Cho, the film continues the brother’s story first documented in the TELUS original “Handle with Care: The Legend of the Notic Streetball Crew” (dirs. Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, Kirk Thomas).

🐃 Masterfully shot and deeply powerful, Leanne Allison and Pete Balkwill’s film will take you on a profound learning exploration. 🐃
“Iniskim- Return of the Buffalo” is a cinematic wonder and an incredible opportunity to learn about Indigenous ways of knowing. We watch as a group of puppeteers are transformed by their experience of ‘being buffalo’ at night under the stars. Amethyst First Rider says to the puppeteers, “You are the buffalo. With each movement of your hands, each connection, each dream, you’re creating energy and they become a part of you.”
