Has Coach Shane lit a fire under your butt?
Why I only teach my Ensemble in groups of 6.
I keep class size tight for multiple reasons, but this is the biggest.
In a small group, there’s no room to hide, there’s no weakest link, and everybody brings their A-game, every time.
It is remarkable how quickly you grow when you’re held to the highest standard, by yourself and by your colleagues.
The bad apples get weeded out pretty quickly.
To clarify: To me a ‘bad apple’ is a student who is lazy.
It’s not about skill level, it’s about work ethic.
It’s my job to teach you what you don’t know. This isn’t about being the ‘best’ it’s about showing up.
I cannot teach you work ethic - that’s on you.
If you’re ready to step up your technique, I have 3 places left in my January ensemble. Details on our website

Have you experienced the Bad Apple Effect?
Your Acting Dad is telling you it may be time to book in for a service. (Fancy a car metaphor? 🚗)
How’s your body? Is it time for a tune up? I’ve been working with my FAVE Physio @sheena.physio who has been gently helping me find alignment (even after decades of training I still slip back in to inefficient breathing!).
On top of building your body awareness to help build characters, releasing tension and finding alignment helps you work with a sense of EASE which is key to longevity in our careers, and having the endurance to work long days on set without physically fatiguing.
