Bones of Crows opens tomorrow in theaters across Canada.clements story of indigenous resilience in the face of Canada’s residential school system is one of great importance and is not to be missed. Maverick Post is extremely proud and humbled to have had the opportunity to work on this film. Many thanks to the producers and as well as post producer for having us on board!

Bones of Crows makes its world premiere this Saturday at TIFF. It’s also the gala opening film of VIFF on September 29th, on the eve of Truth and Reconciliation Day. Maverick Post is honoured to have the opportunity to play a part in bringing such an important story to the screen. Supervised/Mixed by Gregor Phillips. Maverick is owned and operated by veteran audio creatives who have decades of experience working on a broad range of content including film, television and documentaries in both live action and animation.

Junior Sound Editor

Summary:
Responsible for editing foley provided by our in house foley artists and prepping sessions for mixes. Must be able to start in August 2021.
Pay is dependent on experience level.
Position starts with 3 month contract with potential for a full time position.
Must be able to work in Canada and currently reside in the Metro Vancouver region.

Requirements:
Proficient with Avid Pro Tools
Ability to work efficiently and under deadline
Open to working some evening and weekends if required
Good inter-personal skills and positive attitude

Bonus:
Experience with "cut foley” for animation
Audio related degree from a recognized college or institution
Working knowledge of utilizing Native Instruments Kontakt for foley
Experience sound editing background sound effects
Experience with audio layback workflows
Experience recording ADR and/or Walla
Demo Reel

Studio Engineer/Sound editor

Summary:
Responsible for miscellaneous sound editing including foley, background sound, walla, and other elements as required. Also responsible for Audio Deliverables as well as media management and transfers.
Pay is dependent on experience level.
Position starts with 3 month contract with potential for a full time position
Must be able to work in Canada and currently reside in the Metro Vancouver region
Must be able to start in August 2021.
