ABOUT UNITE 4 PEACE
September 2024 represents an unmissable opportunity to UNITE 4 PEACE. Building on many decades of pioneering peace work, this International Day of Peace on September 21st marks the 40th anniversary of the first global celebration, which took place back in 1984. Leading up to September 21 is a time for communities and individuals worldwide to engage in activities, events and collaboration for peace. This initiative culminates in Peace Week from September 14th to 21st, a convergence of social innovators and their networks, aimed at fostering unity and harmony.

The grand finale of these interrelated activities is the International Day of Peace on September 21, featuring a global broadcast and a 24-hour shared experience. This vitally important moment in human history will see a great many global networks, organizations, and communities come together as one to UNITE 4 PEACE, honoring this powerful milestone. Linking major events from Hiroshima, San Francisco, New York, Geneva, London, Addis Ababa, and many other locations worldwide, this historic UNITE 4 PEACE Worldwide Broadcast & 24-Hour Shared Global Experience will be an unprecedented moment of unity.

The International Day of Peace, September 21, is the most advanced “planetary day,” with an estimated reach of 3 billion people. It presents a unique opportunity to unite the world in a shared celebration of peace and global connection. By producing a global broadcast that begins and ends in Hiroshima, Japan, we can connect groups and organizations from diverse regions, amplifying voices and stories that inspire collective action. Together, we will observe the 24-hour Peace Wave, with a minute’s silence at noon in every time zone around the world.

This broadcast will not only foster global awareness and unity but also serve as a powerful educational tool, showcasing innovative peace-building efforts and encouraging collaboration.

Presented in an immersive environment with imagery and storytelling, the event will feature Ezra sharing his personal journey - from growing up as a refugee in to helping rebuild the music industry in post-genocide . The evening will be captured for broadcast on Channel U East TV in Africa.
The performance will also launch Ezra's campaign for Narrow Road Studios in Kigali, Rwanda. Part proceeds will support Narrow Road Ministries, the non-profit organization founded by Ezra and his partner Mona Hempelmann Kwizera.

Today musicians from across Canada have come together to release “Bring the Children Home”, a song that calls for unity and healing for all Canadians. Co-written by Indigenous Relations Consultant and musician Michael Etherington and singer/songwriter Vern Cheechoo, “Bring the Children Home” supports continued reconciliation efforts by healing through music.
Listen to “Bring the Children Home” on YouTube (visit link in bio). The song will be available digitally soon on Amazon Music, Spotify and Itunes. 100% of proceeds from the song will be donated to the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund to support the organization’s work to build awareness, education, and connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada, and to answer Gord Downie’s call to “Do Something” to move reconciliation forward.

Indigenous artists featured on “Bring the Children Home” include Susan Aglukark, Murray Porter, Vern Cheechoo, Thelma Cheechoo, Lacey Hill, Tasheena Sarazin, Earle ‘Honey Boy’ Danyluk, Inuit throat-singing duo Inukshuk Aksalnik and Pauline Pemik, and youth artist, Justice Quachegan.
The song was co-produced by Bill Bell and Michael Etherington.

Hubcast Media was pleased to partner with IFAF (International Federation of American Football) and Football Canada to provide the English live broadcast of the recent Women's World Championship on the Olympic Channel and its distribution networks.

Taking place in Vantaa, Finland, the international event was captured and produced by Ruutu Media while Hubcast's crew took the raw feeds and repackaged the games for English language distribution. Jim Mullin and Andrew Wadden provided live commentary from Hubcast's HQ Studios in Vancouver, Canada with Alia Palmer co-hosting from her home studio in Montreal.

This was the first of many second-language broadcasts that Hubcast Media will be providing in the coming year as we launch global hubs and studios around the world. Thanks to our team and all of our international partners in making these events a success. And CONGRATS to Team USA for taking home GOLD!

It's day 7 for Hubcast Media as we continue to capture all the softball action on the final weekend. We've proudly partnered with the Canadian Amateur Sport Society to create an exclusive subscription channel for the international tournament. which is taking place at Softball City and the Cloverdale Athletic Park in Surrey.

On Diamond 1 at Softball City, Hubcast's on-location crew is shooting a full, multi-cam production with live commentary by Peter Loubardias and Gord Collins as the top-tier international teams compete for Gold.

Utilizing our Hubcasting technology, the control room crew at its HQ studio is producing the live broadcasts and numerous special events, including the World Baseball Softball Hall of Fame induction of Melanie Matthews, one of Canada’s most accomplished softball athletes.
