Create Your Brand Voice

One of the biggest mistakes I see clients making with their branding on social is to try to be all things to everyone. They want to have a professional, educational account that’s also witty and sarcastic. If your brand voice is prone to dramatic mood swings and wardrobe changes, your audience will get turned off by the conflicting sides of your brand personality and wonder why they followed your account in the first place.

Which social platforms are you using to promote your business? Spreading yourself thin in an attempt to be on every platform isn't an effective strategy. Here are some tips to help you decide which platforms to focus your time and resources on:

1. Identify who your target audience is and research which platforms they're using and why. Certain demographics tend to be drawn to different platforms and use them for different purposes.

2. Figure out what the most effective content is for that specific platform that your customers are using.

3. Start creating content that fits that platform and inspires, informs, or entertains your target audience.
