Hello all! With holiday celebrations drawing near, we just thought we'd remind people what we do here at MFM.

In a nutshell, we preserve your memories. Let's face it. Not everyone has the means to play or show old video tapes, films or slides. That's where we come in. We'll take what you hand us, digitize the media, then hand back your preserved memories in a format that is viewable on all computers and most TVs. Also, (usually an overlooked benefit) preserving them now will ensure you're getting the best quality results, as your analog media will only deteriorate with time.

***Unfortunately, MFM does not have the capabilities of transferring any film with sound. 8mm film with sound can be transferred with visuals only. 8mm – silent rates apply.

*Customer has choice of either a 1920x1080 transfer or 1440x1080 transfer. Either choice is considered 1080p HD. Yet, please note that transferring from either film or video to digital does not rectify flaws in the original tapes/film. Tape and film quality, recording speed, original recording equipment and deterioration comes into play when dealing with older media. Some colour correction and/or audio levelling can be applied, but it will be done on a case by case basis only after discussion, for no extra cost. Unfortunately, pre-recorded, copywrited media cannot be transferred.

Two stills from one of our many recent conversions. The interesting thing about these films is, we have no idea who's in the footage! In the next couple of weeks, we'll be making an effort to solve the puzzle, and find out who these old films belong to. Stay tuned!

Unfortunately, 8mm and Hi8 VIDEO transfers ARE NOT available right now. The search for a proper machine has been stunted by the recent pandemic, and if the service becomes available, an update will be provided here on Facebook.

Hey everyone! Some good news!

My Favorite Memories now has the means to transfer Betamax tapes! If you were unlucky enough to choose Beta over VHS in the 80s, you probably have tapes laying around that you may not have watched in over 30 years!
