𝗬𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻, 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀. Riders had the option to choose between a 54 km or a 71 km route, and we decided to take on the longer challenge.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁:
Upon our arrival, Station 210 - Atelier de roues provided coffee and pastries to all participants. Along with our tickets, we received a coupon for a beer after the ride, a sticker, and entry into a prize draw. Before we began, Marie-Pierre Savard gave us some instructions, informing us that the first portion of the ride would involve significant climbing, while after the feed zone, the route would level out and feature more descents. Riders also had the option to adjust their chosen distance at the feed zone if needed.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲:
Cycles Tulipp managed the feed zone, where they provided hot chocolate (with an optional splash of Kahlua) along with a selection of pastries and cookies. This was a hit with everyone—perfectly timed to refuel us and keep spirits high.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲:
We didn’t know much about this area for gravel biking, but we were thoroughly impressed by the stunning scenery, the minimal traffic on most parts of the ride, and the excellent condition of the gravel roads. The route’s mix of climbs and flats was well-balanced, and we ended up covering 71 km with 791 meters of elevation—a perfect challenge.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲:
The post-ride gathering took place at Brasserie Sir John Brewing co. , where we were warmly welcomed and promptly served. The beer selection was excellent, and we opted for the smash burger, which was absolutely delicious.

Once most of the participants had arrived, the prize draw began. There were various prizes, including gift cards, tumblers, and more. Both Jonathan and Dominic were lucky enough to win a prize each!

𝗧𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
Without a doubt, we’ll be back next year. The event was well-organized, had a great vibe, and was also a fundraiser for Les Fines Garnottes. For the price of the ticket, we certainly got our money’s worth.

Even though this region isn’t too far from us, we hadn’t realized just how fantastic the gravel biking options were. We’ll definitely be back for more!
