I apologize as I haven't been able to record an episode in the last 2 weeks. I am hoping to have one up and going this weekend and then will be dropping them every two weeks rather than every week. I appreciate those that are regular listeners and look forward to sharing more of my stories with you. Hope you are all well in these difficult and complicated times. I have been notified that the sound quality on the last podcast was quite poor. I will be getting a new microphone on Friday and will re-record this podcast. If the new mic is amazing, which i hope it is. I may re-record a number of the older podcasts as there are a few that people have mentioned aren't up to the quality that I feel these stories deserve. So hang in there and the quality is going to improve.

The Manitou
The Sasquatch Manitou comes calling
And I don't find this very enthralling,
Long hair and wrinkled rage
With his misshapen eyes and unidentifiable age,
the Manitou Sasquatch is shaking my bones
I shake and tremble and from inside me I hear groans.
The Manitou Cyclops is in my house
sometimes as large as a giant
other times small like a mouse.
The Manitou Cyclops has caught my eye
my heart beats so fast I fear I will die.
Misshapen face lithe, wrinkly and aged
the Manitou dragon needs to be caged.
The Manitou dragon starts to exhale smoke
I know what comes next is no joke.
When I am in the dark or alone
I can always hear a Manitou's groan.
He is always there in the shadows and the night.
I need somebody beside me to make things right.
Bending my thoughts, Wrinkling my will,
the Manitou knows how to get his fill
for the Manitou is in my mind
my confidence he does grind
my motivation he does bind.
The Manitou is in my soul
I am his, that was his goal.

THE WORLDS TALLEST
I the Woodsman,
trained in the mystic art
of chainsaws and choker cables,
set forth to northern California
to see the world's tallest tree.
In 1963,
the year I was born,
The National Geographic Society
crept up on this tree,
and, with great perseverance and stealth,
they measured it.
367.8 feet tall
44 feet in circumference at the base
14 feet in diameter.
In 1998 the tree was approximately 608 years old.
I the woodsman, who has used chainsaws
with teeth that grab and tear wood.
I the woodsman who enjoys watching a tree fall,
and admires the power in it,
did walk up to this tree,
all 367.8 feet of it,
double trunk,
44 feet in circumference,
and watched the world’s tallest tree tremble.
5 feet 7 inches tall,
32 inches in circumference at the waist.
In 1998 I was approximately 35 years old.
The world’s tallest tree trembled when I approached,
and fainted when I touched it.

PERSPECTIVES
Trapped within the intricate confines
of the cells in a fallen leaf,
is a small bug
who doesn't find you as beautiful
as you find the leaf.

Teen Age Ballad
Why do I make such choices
listening to the wrong voices,
grabbing for my share of pain.
Who are these people I call peers?
Why do I live within their fears,
when none of us will gain.
We all verbally battle for power
During this minute, it is my hour.
Of put downs we are deathly afraid.
We strive to be what is cool
and avoid ever being considered a fool.
With each other is the only important grade.
We would give our life for one another,
but if the group decides we'll attack our brother.
Adults always mistake fear for pride.
To others we never say sorry,
but within the group we always worry
sometimes I wish I could get off this ride.
If adults approve,
then it must be out of the groove,
and we will find it boring or mundane,
alcohol, junk food, ci******es and va**ng are the necessary choices
these decisions are made without voices
and we will all follow the grain.
We are individuals and don't conform
except to what in the group is the norm
Our parents will pay for the fashion's cost
Why do I make such choices?

Thought I would start adding some minor poetry. Not quite as entertaining as the podcast, but I hope you enjoy it.
REFLECTING
The Camera's shutter closes
capturing a moment in the future
when we will reminisce
about the time that the shutter
closed.
Have just finished processing the next episode of "Adventures With Eric" It is called "Giant Rats" Will be publishing it on Saturday morning. I feel I am getting a better hang of how to put energy and intonation into my voice and am quite proud of how this turned out.
Chapter 1 "Spud", Eric meets Spud, they have an encounter with a biker, eat jaw breakers and generally have a good time.
Chapter 2 "The Special Branch of the Intelligence Men", or The Men From We**ie. Eric and Spud go on an adventure to seek out the hideout of their nemesis, the local neighborhood bullies. Mike Pearson and his gang. They find the hideout and so much more.
Chapter 3, "Losing Your Marbles" Bernie learns how to make money from playing marbles.
Chapter 4 "Aliens" Eric imagines that the noon hour supervisor is an Alien and tries to convince his friends.
Chapter 5 "The Chess Master" Bernie learns how to play chess and tries to make money from it. Adventure ensues.
Chapter 6 "Leeches as Big as Snakes and Mosquitoes as Large as Hummingbirds", Eric and Bernie sneak onto a neighbors raft and eventually have to walk through town clad only in wet underwear.
Chapter 7 "Toast" Eric and Scott decide they are going to light a fire. Lessons are learned.
Chapter 8 "Gender Biases" Eric meets Katie and is smitten. He tries to arrange for her to be part of the bigger group. Chapter 9 "Bernie's House of Horrors" will be dropping next Saturday. Tell your friends. Listen and enjoy.
