Aihi creates dragons with her hands. Her constructs are animated, and yet lifeless without the essential ingredient of life: a spirit.

Artificial spirits should be impossible. But shortly after she’s made aware of the world-changing discovery, assassins eager to take the artificial spirit strike after her life. They interrupt her wedding plans and endanger her future husband and wife.

Once used, the spirit can’t be separated from its host. She could use the spirit to bring one of her dragons to life and stop the threat. Instead, she could heal the damage done to her brother’s spirit when he inadvertently became a war hero.

But what if he doesn’t want to be saved?

Happy New Year, goblins and ghouls! We are so excited at White Raven Chronicles to share our 2022 plans with you!

This year is going to be a year of growth for our publishing house, not only in expanding our catalogue of talented writers & amazing books, but also in taking root in our local communities. While we are still refining the details of our plans for this year, we can say with absolute certainty that we'll be engaging with our communities as much as possible.

Already in the short time since our inception we've begun looking into ways we can support other local organizations near and dear to our hearts. Last week we ran our first fundraiser sale for St. Jude's Research Hospital, the Kelowna Museum Society, and a Japanese heritage organization (which we are still finalizing the details for). Although our contributions are small so far, this is just the beginning!

All of us at White Raven Chronicles adore the work bookstores and libraries do to help authors, engage youth, and promote literacy. We're so thrilled to announce that in 2022, our first priority will be making our books as widely available as possible. As soon as everything's in place, be assured that we'll be the first to let you know just how you can more easily curl up in a reading nook with one of our gorgeous books.

We believe in giving youth and new writers all the resources they need to succeed. We want our and writers to grow alongside us, as well as all those touched by our growing community. The next few months are packed with fun for us, and we can't wait to get more involved with you (and show you how YOU can get more involved with us)!

Logo design is a tantamount and crucial journey in the creation of any business venture. Not only is it the first thing so many see when looking at a brand, but it is also a story.

So how do you go about making a whole story without any words?
We worked with the extremely talented Serena Ebuchi, a local artist, and a beloved friend, to create our logo.

Serena took into consideration all our needs, our concerns, and our visions and delivered artwork that was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We are very thankful to her.

Below are some early sketches before our final logo (soon to be released into the world) came to fruition. We wanted something that offered balance but also drew the viewer in. I hope you agree with us that the image of the two ravens intertwined is as pleasant to view as it is impactful.
