After Disney announced the new reservation system last week, we’re in the last few days of Genie+! If you have a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland on or after July 24th, 2024 - LISTEN UP!
🧞♂️ Genie+ will rebrand to a similar system called ⚡️Lightning Lane Multi Pass
⚡️Lightning Lane Single Pass
⚡️Lightning Lane Multi Pass⚡️ will take over what was known as🧞♂️Genie+🧞♂️
⚡️Lightning Lane Single Pass⚡️ though similar in name, will replace ✨individual Lightning Lane entry✨
When can you book?
🌙 Walt Disney World Resort/Good Neighbor Resort? ➡️ 7 days prior to your stay!!
☀️ Day guests ➡️ 3 days prior to your visit
Why a tiered system?
Giving guests a limit to booking popular selections (not applicable to Disney’s Animal Kingdom) gives you a better chance to make a day of booking for that experience after your three initial selections have been used! Similar to Genie+ and FastPass+, you can continue to book different experiences; just remember to book right after you tap into your most recent experience. Definitely plan and prioritize the rides you want to ride prior to making those advanced bookings and day of bookings. ✨Don’t want to think about it? Let me plan and make your reservations!✨
Benefits!
🔕 No more waking up at 7am everyday on vacation! For resort guests, you can book at 7am a week before your arrival. Day guests may book at 7am at least 3 days in advance.
💲 Expect that each park will vary in price and that surge pricing can occur during busier times of the year.
🎡 you’ll need to cluster your bookings together to maximize the amount of rides you book through Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
🎢 Single Pass will remain similar in nature: just select the time you want to ride! These passes can be made for different parks from your Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
All in all, this is an improvement from Genie+ but we still will wait to see how it rolls out on July 24!
Is your vacation affected by this in the first month of Lightning Lane Multi/Single Pass? I can help - let start a conversation! I however cannot help but want to shorten the names to something less wordy…Does anyone have a nicer, more concise name for this system?
