TUESDAY MUSIC. I am a huge fan of Roy Orbison and saw Roy several times in concert. Recently I heard "Crying" on the radio, not by Roy but, by this young man, Corneliu Montano. I was struck by how he not only made the song his own but maintained the integrity & beauty of the original version. No one I've heard, other than k.d. Lang has done that. Born in Romania, his parents moved to Quebec where his musical career began. He has studied music in New York, Italy & Bucharest, been on Star Search, American Idol & Star Academy 2004 and has performed alongside Richard Clayderman, soprano Patricia Danzig, Richard Abel & Monserrat Caballé. But it's his version of Roy Orbison's "Crying" that has made me a fan. From his 2011 album, "Influences" this is Corneliu Montano. Enjoy!

Just shot an episode of Schitt's Creek. Had a wonderful time. Eugene Levy is such a nice man and a consummate professional. Had a great chat with Chris Elliot about the travelling part of this crazy business. He, like me, still enjoys it. And Emily Hamphire is exactly how you'd expect her to be... and so funny! Love this business.
