Canteen Studios is a 7,000 sq. ft. still & motion production facility with two fully independent but internally connected studios, located in South Etobicoke’s thriving media district.

After two years of successful operations, we’re ready to expand and enhance our offerings, starting with Studio 1. This versatile space already includes two fully functional, camera-ready kitchen sets and a partially completed third, with exciting upgrades planned.
Studio 1 accommodates up to 40 attendees with trucks, equipment, and support resources, making it a top choice for commercial productions. Studio 2, perfect for smaller shoots, will also serve as an expansion option, comfortably handling productions with up to 60 people between both.

Warehouse Labor

Seeking strong, fit help prepping motion / still warehouse studio for a production. Must have general warehouse experience with pump-truck, skids, loading trailer through dock, etc. Will be moving and organizing skids, boxes, furniture, flats, sweeping, etc. All indoor. No stairs.

Start time 10am ideally, $20/hr pay with 6 hr min. Likely 8-10 hrs. You have a barter option for $40/hr pay in studio rental credit, instead of the e-transfer at the end of the day. Great opportunity for the studio to get to know you!

Please bring work gloves and safety shoes if you have them. No smokers.

Just shot the Solar Eclipse. South Etobicoke, outside my front door. No special gear. No special glasses or filters. No tests, no extra lenses, just my gut instinct form all these years of shooting.

Decided to pull out my 16-year-old Canon 5DII because it has a mirror, so the sensor is not exposed to the sun for long.

I used a Tiffen variable ND, and just shot full manual mode, handheld, rode the ND, shutter, and aperture while the cloud cover was quickly changing.

EF 300mm f4 IS w 1.4x II 420 mm ¹⁄₅₀₀ sec at ƒ - 8.0 ISO 1600

no post-processing - no adjustments - straight from the camera.
