It’s been a while since our last LOVE IT OR THRIFT IT!

This time around, we did it with a twist. ✨

Watch how I take this water-stained, old burl credenza, and turn it into the moody-retro sideboard of your dreams! 💫

Catch it on the tubes, 9am EST ✌️

P.S can anyone guess this paint colour? Hint; it’s absolutely DIVINE. I can’t wait for you to see this come together!! ♥️

Who’s ready to add a little magic to the garden? ✨🌷

Planning some new things, making big decisions… and spiraling over which flowers to plant (because obviously that’s the hardest part) - HELP!!??!!

April showers bring cozy studio catchups! 🍵☔️

This week, I managed to sneak in a few fun studio projects to prep for the season (even if spring forgot to show up 😂)

Catch all the cozy spring vibes in tomorrow’s video - 9am EST! 🌿🌼

Our weather in Ontario has been so crazy inconsistent this spring. I’ve been itching to get out in the gardens but it’s just been too cold and wet!

This past week, I visited a local nursery to soak in some of that “green-thumb” vibes and got so much inspiration for my own greenhouse and future spring diy projects! 😍

Heads up, there’s no episode this weekend on my tubes, but I’m back next week with some spring- inspired studio projects 💛

In the meantime, does anyone else have spring-cleaning fever right now? Like…throw open the windows and take a toothbrush to the baseboards energy? 😂

I opened a can of DIY worms ✨ and they won’t go back in 🙃

Has anyone else ever started with ONE simple project, and next thing you know you’re in a DIY spiral?

Looks like I’m building another cabinet. This is totally fine and I’m not crying, there’s just sawdust in my eyes ✨

A few tiny moments of joy ❤️ here’s why I shared them:

1) being in nature with my dog reminds me to breath and enjoy the present with the people you love. Don’t take small moments for granted. Every moment matters.

2) vibe is everything and nobody enjoys ceiling lights turned on. Instead, make many diy lamps and fill your home with them - It’s really easy, I shared 6 of them on my channel just to show you!

3) when you find yourself smiling because you had enough care to match your socks to your outfit, even though no one will ever see them….Oh, I’ll make sure EVERYONE sees it. Share joy, it’s contagious.

4) the hubs got me tickets to see LOTR: Return of the King live orchestra for my birthday. We weren’t supposed to make it but then life events changed and we pushed ourselves to go. It felt weird to smile after such sad events in our lives. We had a great time and I sobbed/cheered with every nerd in the building. This reminded me that energy is also contagious. share the good stuff and push yourself to do new things.

5) Oh, this is just photo proof that I wear more than just flannel and backwards hats. I clean up and feel cute sometimes. 🤭

6) I buy silly things that make me smile. This 3D printed dragon was purchased off Amazon and I move him around my studio all the time. I just love him. It makes me happy and I don’t have to understand but I do acknowledge it.

7) I spent a lot of time in the hospital in January. It had this beautiful stained glass panel that sat in front of a window. Every time I looked at it, I thought - I want to make something like that one day. My phone will filled with these photos (you?). I love finding inspiration in the most unlikely places.

8) I bought a bunch of glass panels over the holidays. Stained glass is definitely a new hobby of mine (like I need another one) but this one feels like it might stick for life. I’ve never felt so much excitement like I did when I was looking through a bunch of beautiful glass pieces. It’s just so pretty 😍

9) speaking of hobbies, I built an entire cabinet to fill it with my favourite hobbies. Pretty happy with it.

10) I love the silly ways my dog sleeps.

Creative healing looks different for everyone 💜

I've been trying to describe how my creativity feels lately, and I would compare it to driving through a rainstorm, windshield wipers thrashing on high. It's hard to see, but I know I'll make it to my destination if I drive slowly and stay aware of my surroundings.
I know that if I keep driving, eventually, the rain will lighten, and the storm will pass.

So, in my attempt to drive slowly, I ventured into the studio this past week with zero expectations of getting anything done. Thinking outside the box didn’t seem like a reasonable ask for my creativity, so instead, I thought inside the box—literally. I built a bunch of cabinets to organize all my future creative projects. 😅

I always find myself cleaning and organizing when I’m stressed or feeling low, so I figured the best way to hug my creative self was to build organizational tools to help me do just that!

Building cabinets didn’t feel particularly creative, but it definitely made me feel a little more like myself again—and that made the rain feel a little less heavy.

I’m curious: What self-care steps do you take when you’re not feeling at your "creative best"?

It’s been wild to look back at all the amazing DIY projects I’ve built into my home after 4 years! ✨ As the final video of 2024, I take you through my home and share some insight on how they’ve held up since their install! Did they all last? What did I change?!?

I keep it pretty real and share some serious tea - so *sip sip* let’s chat DIY! ☕️✨
