In Canada, this coming Monday September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
At Holiday United Group, we take great pride in having Jon Elliott on our director roster at Nimble Content.
Jon is a proud Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) from Six Nations of the Grand River.
We also take great pride that co-owner and Executive Producer of HUG, Michael Corbiere, from Mississaugi River First Nation (with band membership at M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island), helps to champion our company’s path towards Truth and Reconciliation.
It has been exciting at our company to watch Canadian brands commit to the path of Truth and Reconciliation in a serious manner.
The healing, and winds of change, are growing across our nation. This holiday has meaning, and you can feel it.
We are proud to share this latest message from a brand who has committed to Truth and Reconciliation. The list is growing.

This week, we’re reminiscing about the fantastic journey of bringing Edo Japan’s vision to life with Jesse Senko at the helm, alongside the talented folks at Nimble Content and agency Doner North.
“Library” is a great example of the power of teamwork and creative synergy. Collaboration was key from the start as Jesse, the agency, and the Recess Post team looked at practical and a more VFX heavy approach to the storytelling.
After early tests and discussions, they opted for Jesse’s preferred in-camera aesthetic approach complemented by strategic post-production touches to achieve a seamlessly stunning final look.
The decision meant resources could be channeled to production allowing us to inject even greater scale to the storytelling. “Library” transports viewers into the realm of adventure, evoking the spirit of classics like “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

Hi everyone! Here's the next entry in our HUG full-service throwback posts.
The university and college landscape is very competitive in Ontario today and a strong brand presence is vital. Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) approached us last summer with a project called ""Made of Grit"", a campaign to build TMU's reputation as a leading institution cultivating and celebrating a spirit of deterrmination and ingenuity necessary to make a positive impact on the world.
The script called for shooting in a number of locations around the TMU campus with clever visual transitions linking the fast moving story.
Enter director Melanie Chung and the HUG full-service team of Nimble Content and Recess Post. The HUG approach started with a treatment from Melanie, presenting a smart creative vision to the TMU team. The Nimble team led by EP Andrew Lynch and Producer Craig Shouldice supported Melanie with a solid production team who made efficient use of the project budget giving Melanie the space to capture a ton of great footage.
On the post end, Recess EP Tanja Harney recognized that the project needed a great edit and brought in Matthieu Belanger of Married to Giants. Matt worked closely with Melanie and the TMU team, weaving in the dynamic visual transitions to the edit and applying a cool overall aesthetic to the final spot.

We were stoked to partner with our friends at @angrybutterflyco on their fantastic “Next to Stok’d” campaign! The AB team devised a clever way to advertise on platforms that don’t permit cannabis advertising. Read more at the link in our bio.
Big thanks to Brent Choi, Bee Lo, Adam Notzi-Keyser, Ryan Chaisson, Chenice Piercy, Emily Fixman, and Dennis Soler.
This was a full-service #poweredbyHUG project with Nimble Content led by Director Erica Orofino @eriorofino teaming with Recess Post. Big thanks to a wonderful team, including DP Viktor Cahoj, Shasta Lutz, and the gang at @jigsawcasting and @duane.vandermeulen
There are three very funny spots in the campaign! You can see “Cliffside Village Books” on the @nimblecontent feed and “NuNail” on the @recesspost feed.
