January doesn’t have to be a slow period for e-commerce brands.

Here's how you can make the most of this month:

1️⃣ Retarget your holiday traffic

You probably reached a TON of new people during the holidays, whether they purchased or not. January is the perfect time to re-target them while CPMs are at their lowest (aka. the cost of reaching your potential customers is at its lowest).

2️⃣ Encourage gift card redemptions

Think of how many people received gift cards in December. Not everyone redeems them immediately, so nudge them to use those gift cards now.

3️⃣ Lean into the New Year angle

For beauty, skincare, apparel, wellness, and fitness brands - this is YOUR time. People are setting goals and looking to upgrade their lives, so use that messaging to your advantage.

What a year it’s been!

Scaling your meta ads in 2025?

Here’s the #1 thing you need to know:

✨ Creative volume is EVERYTHING ✨

When you're just starting out, testing 5-10 creatives a month might be all you need.

BUT as your brand grows, naturally so does your ad spend.

And relying on just a couple of winning creatives can put your entire strategy at risk (something we don't want!).

Think of it like a Jenga tower: if you’re stacking all your budget on just 1 or 2 creatives, things can quickly fall apart when the ads fatigue and stop performing.

Here's why you should actually be increasing—not decreasing—your ad spend during the holidays.

There's something called Q5... which you may have heard about.

It's the period between Christmas and early New Year and it's when CPMs are at their lowest (i.e. the cost of getting a thousand impressions on your ad).

It's also when consumers are typically at home with their families, away from work, and have the most time to online shop.
