The Deli welcomes Dave Delnea () to the director and photographer rosters!!

With a particular love for the legal disclaimer “professional driver on a closed course” Dave is the type of director who places the viewer in the centre of the action while always working to tease out a great story.

Dave started out as a photographer and a climber; his mountain adventures mean he knows the value of an amazing location and his photography background shows through in his bias towards powerful visuals and lighting. Having worked with many prominent athletes, automotive and lifestyle brands Dave loves taking this visual experience to weave more and more human stories into his films.

More than anything Dave says he’s here for the “good people, free food and that cute little chair they give me”.

Get to know The Deli team... Christina Bucci (.bucci) - Roster Manager / Business Development

Christina is passionate about connecting creative people. With nearly a decade in film and photography production, and a creative background from OCAD, Christina uses her powers of organization, creative outlook, and her network to find the right directors and photographers for each project.

Her experience spans sales, marketing, project management, account management, event production, client service and social media. Christina has worked at production companies Free Society, Mile Inn, and Radke Films with brands such as Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, McDonald's, Cadillac, Molson Coors, Home Hardware and more. But the best thing she ever produced was the year 2021, when she travelled the country, working remotely from a custom campervan that she built from scratch.

Get to know The Deli team... Kevin Saffer (), Co-Founder / Managing Director.

Kevin began his 25+ year production career in film and TV, working his way up the ladder from PA to Producer. In the mid 2000s he applied his long-format film skills to the advertising world, spending five years at TAXI as a pioneer in the burgeoning world of content production.

Since 2012, Kevin has used his vast network of filmmakers, creatives and technologists to deliver award winning, high-quality integrated content for agencies and brands. Engaged and ‘hands on’, Kevin thrives on solving complex creative and production challenges. He also loves a good debate around bagels: Toronto, New York or Montreal? Discuss. 🥯

Get to know The Deli team… Ben Robinson ( ) - Head of Production

Ben got into filmmaking to tell stories. He is a big believer in leadership and accountability, while maintaining the fine balance between art and commerce inherent in production.

Throughout his career he has produced work with major brands such as Amazon, Pepsi Co, General Mills, Lululemon and HSBC to name a few. As a live event and experiential producer his work has garnered numerous awards including a Cannes Lion, The One Club award, and a Clio among others. His short films have played at festivals across North America and he is constantly seeking out new projects and creative endeavours.

In a past life you could have found Ben busking on a street corner eating fire, but these days he enjoys a good hike, a solid nap, and baking pies (apple or otherwise).

Get to know The Deli team… Melisa Sahin (.sahin) - Production Coordinator.

Originally from Turkey, Mel decided to pursue her passion for film and move to Toronto with her dog, Pof. She graduated from Toronto Film School with Best Screenwriter and Best Picture awards for her thesis film ‘Alto’. Following that she completed the Video Design and Production program at George Brown College with honours.

Her experience on set includes a range of departments and formats so she knows what it takes to deliver quality work. And in her world ‘what it takes’ is always accompanied by kindness. In her free time, she loves to draw cute monsters, shop for stationary and art supplies she already has, or simply overthink everything.

Edward Pond is a director DP with over 15 years experience behind the lens shooting food and lifestyle campaigns. As a full-on foodie, he excels at natural lighting, movement and a feeling of reality in all his projects.

Sketch comedy is Edward’s second passion, directing online comic shorts with his absurdist troop Dr. Idiot and teaming up with the newest voices in Canadian comedy and improv. Edward is also Ba*****ed Ladies’ frequent media creator for broadcast, fan content and making their hit “Selfie Cam Jam” lockdown music series.

This project never gets old. Because today’s , here’s a throwback to ’s photo project that went viral back in 2014 and 2015.

Thomas Dagg is a photographer, 3D generalist, and sometimes director.

For this 17-image series, Dagg placed his actual childhood toys from the Star Wars movies into everyday scenes on the streets of Toronto, producing situations that are simultaneously mundane and surreal. And there’s a sense of both play and menace that kinda sums up how it feels to be out and about right now.

Cia Mellegers - Producer

Cia studied visual art in London and Toronto. She began her career at the Nuit Blanche Festival before founding and running her own DIY art gallery, Forgetus. After a turn as a personal assistant to a filmmaker, she crystallised her passion for art (and her control issues) into a career in film production. Over the years, Cia has produced many commercial and narrative projects, and has written and directed two short films which have screened at international festivals. Cia believes that strong collaboration and communication are the keys to success in this industry. She now lives in Hamilton with her growing family and her dachshund, Monty, and spends her free time listening to records, playing softball, and making really good negronis.

Welcome Sergio Granado to The Deli roster!

Sergio Granados is a Mexican film director who knows that the best work is made in a collaborative environment built on creative respect and a dedication to craft. Born in Chihuahua, México, he started his film education at The London Film School. After graduating from an MFA at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, he returned to his home country to start his career as one of the most flamboyant and versatile filmmakers in the market.

Sergio’s adaptable filmmaking, going from jaw dropping dynamic and visual ads to clever and polished institutional pieces, has made him creditor of various accolades including both the Cannes Lions and the Cíclope Awards. He has directed ads for clients such as Nissan, Pepsi, Reebok, Gatorade, GMC, among others.

Born in Nigeria, Oshiokhai is a Toronto based emerging producer with a love for storytelling and
a flair for producing work that captures unique moments and tells eternal stories.

He describes himself as a creative problem solver. His passion for providing solutions in
production is the driving force that fuels him to excel in planning, and delivering quality content
with the projects he has been involved with.

Oshiokhai is a graduate from the Media Arts program at York University. Then he completed the
OYA Emerging Filmmakers Program in the Producer stream, and worked as the Production Coordinator on a series titled Black Love and Joy with two short films Tango and Going Home.

In 2019, he stood for 6 hours to get a shot of the New Year’s fireworks show at the London Eye and he’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Skip The Dishes came to us with an urgent project for the NHL Hockey Playoffs. The ask... design and mass produce 'Napkin Pants' and shoot a :30 TV and digital spot in roughly 3 weeks. We assembled an amazing team of filmmakers, prototyped the pants in 48hrs, and produced 75 pairs while prepping, shooting, and editing the spot.

From brief to ship - creative development, production, post production and pant design/creation took less than 3 weeks.
